ACTIVITIES TO FOREVER OBLITERATE THE COMMON KVETCH

MOMMY, I’M BORED!

It’s the season of coats and jackets and multi-colored leaves crunching merrily underfoot. It is also the beginning of children being underfoot. “Mommy, I’m bored,” is bound to become the popular refrain as the children begin spending more and more time inside due to the chilly weather. When the standard toys and games lose their innate appeal, try the following - the perfect solution to alleviate the boredom! Girls and boys alike can enjoy these indoor play ideas. (And we won’t be surprised to see older siblings and Mommy joining the fun!)

MASKING TAPE CITY Age Level: 2-10+ Time Frame: 30 minutes-3 days Supplies needed: masking tape

Designate an area for construction. Begin by sticking strips of masking tape to the floor to create roads, parking lots, shopping centers, etc. Raise the fun level up a notch by building the masking tape city over couches, boxes, into closets…Kids could

even create a maze for drivers to get lost in. Once done, bring on the traffic! You may want to leave the tape for a couple of days to get the most out of each turn in the road. And the best part? Tearing away all the masking tape, of course!
