Ms Culf won the Elders Community Individual Award for her roles in community programs such as The Big Warm Welcome and Strengthening Our Families, bringing her into contact with many new and existing residents in our town. “It is an acknowledgement of the importance of providing support to the families in our community,” said Ms Culf. “There are lots of ways that I have contributed to this community over a number of years and I hope I have inspired others to get involved in our community too.” Ms Culf provides support, information and

friendship to new residents to assist them in settling into the area and establishing their own networks in the community. Her role at Roxby Health Services also allows her to provide assistance to families who need additional health services or support. Ms Culf also makes time to support families with young children or those with additional needs, and manages the volunteer staff who assist in a social support capacity.
MALCOLM HEWETT
Malcolm Hewett and the Vincent Racing Team participate in Salt Lake Land Speed Racing, held at Lake Gairdner each year, and this year were awarded with the Viterra Sports Award. The VRT is made up of Malcolm Hewett and a core group of four dedicated people; Al Fischer, Colin Kranz, Mark Hamilton and Will Lockwood; who have made the journey to Salt Lake. Mr Hewett and the VRT initially ran a vintage 1950 street registered Vincent Rapide motorcycle in modified vintage gas, and modified partially streamlined vintage gas classes in 2000.
