Transports keep trucking in Mile Zero, business adapts Mile Zero and Peace region transport and trucking outfits are keeping the wheels rolling and the hauls full where they can. Branch manager for both Dawson Creek and Fort St. John Rosenau Transport locations Chris Richards says things are alright. “We have taken extraordinary steps to protect our drivers and freight destination,” he notes. “We are seeing positive people with our service being essential, our steps include not touching the sign in terminals, keep respective social distance as our drivers drop freight, and keep no physical contact with our continuing service.” He added he see no delays in freight. “We are working hard as we are essential that our schedules remain on time.”

AV Tech Heating & Svc Ltd.’s Andy Verdon said the right decisions are being made. “Right now I’m working how am going to coordinate my staff to provide 24 hour emergency furnace service,” he says. “I am trying to be supportive to social distancing through these times, it’s hard when some people take its seriously and others don’t.” He said big decisions were in the cards last week on how his staff will handle the potential exposure. “When calls to the 24 hour line for emergencies come in, please include if any persons are sick and support both families through any after hours emergency furnace service.” Linklater reporter@dcdn.ca
