Silverdale Katsubi’s grand reveal

Crunchy, crispy, succulent chicken right on your doorstep – Silverdale’s very own Katsubi opened on 1 February this year, delivering everything you’d hope for in a bowl for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Owner Radhika brought Katsubi to Silverdale with her husband and sons, who also working alongside her, to share their love of the food chain with their local community. The store is at 2 Central Boulevard, just across from the Silverdale Mall. Since opening the queue of eager customers has quite often gone right out the door. They do say the busier the better!

Upon walking into the shop, I was instantly impressed with the friendly smiles of the servers and the welcoming environment of the venue. Their most popular meals include the flavoursome lemon chicken, moreishly sweet honey nut chicken and the deliciously crispy karaage chicken. For lovers of udon, ramen, chicken, salads, rice bowls and a large selection of flavours, Katsubi’s kitchen and online website await your arrival.

Katsubi as a company was founded 20 years ago as a 100% Kiwi-owned family business. As more stores opened all around New Zealand, Katsubi became a local favourite. This franchise food chain is continuing to gain more and more popularity throughout the country.

Katsubi Silverdale brings staff of many nationalities and levels of experience into the business, with everything form experienced caterers to prior travel agents and several other dedicated staff members. They all work together to make Katsubi Silverdale a welcoming and friendly addition to both the Katsubi food chain and the Silverdale area.

The response they’ve had from customers has been positive and encouraging right from day one, even with power outages and other weather-related hurdles within the last few weeks.
