It seems odd to be carrying on pretty much as per usual while so many people have had their lives turned upside down by the recent extreme weather events and are facing tremendous loss, upheaval and living in dire circumstances that will likely continue for some time.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent events and we are so thrilled to have seen many in our community doing what they can to help and support those in need.

For those of you with children, in this month’s issue we have an article with suggestions on how to help kids deal with feelings and emotions around natural disasters. For those who could do with some comfort food, Rudi has ideas on where you should buy your next curry and we also have a recipe for some delicious chocolate chip breakfast cookies.
