Happy New Year and welcome to our first issue for 2023. This corner of the Coast is always a great place to call home and that is never truer than in the summer months when we can make the most of this stunning scenery and incredible coastline we are blessed to inhabit. We hope your holidays have been full to the brim with lots of whatever you needed most.

If you’re still hanging out in holiday mode we have some great books for you to grab hold of – a travel memoir revisiting the 1970s and a gripping tale of separation set during the 1940s Japanese occupation of Hong Kong and Singapore.

For those wanting to set their holiday sights a little further afield this year, we have the low down on some long-haul travel destinations with some pretty special events happening in 2023.

With the weather a bit up and down, make sure you check out our article on how to read the marine weather forecast before you head out on your boat for a spot of fishing or water sports, and we also have tips on looking after your eyes in the summer sun.

For those summer soirees we have a tasty dukkah recipe that will elevate your entertaining and chef tips on adding and balancing flavours too. And if you canny be bothered cooking, Rudi has you covered with which local establishment to head out to for the best beef burgers in town. Please pop your feet up and enjoy.
