Detail Driven is the brainchild of Alex Parkinson, who provides the high-gloss kind of finish to automobiles that you normally don’t see outside of Concours d’Elegance or high-end car showrooms. It’s not restricted to new cars, either – as the Mitsubishi GTO here shows clearly – Detail Driven really can make a world of difference to your car’s appearance.

Keen athlete (men’s discus #2 in New Zealand and aiming for the 2020 Olympics) Alex admits to being obsessed to achieve the best – in his sport and in his business – and both receive equal dedication. “People have come to expect only the best in quality car finishing and Detail Driven provides just that. We take what might initially appear to be dull and transform it into something quite magical,” Alex told us.

With the purchase of Alex’s second car, he began to really understand how to achieve the sort of detailing that he now offers and Detail Driven was founded earlier this year. “We don’t just treat the exterior appearance of your car,” Alex said, “We do the full interior treatment, too, including a ceramic coating to seat fabrics that makes them virtually stain-proof – particularly good if you have kids and/or animals regularly in the car.” The harsh New Zealand UV can dull headlamp covers but these also can also be made to look like new, as shown here.

Long training in techniques and materials means that Detail Driven knows how to provide the kind of result that most of us only dream of.
