About Me:

When I was 5, I ‘borrowed’ my parent’s polaroid camera. They got lucky there was no film in it, but it didn’t matter to me; every time I clicked the shutter, I made up a story. I clicked until the camera broke.

When I was 7, I took my dad’s film camera for a joy ride. It was the 1980s: a time of bold fashion choices, questionable hairstyles, and heavy cameras filled with film that was only used on special occasions. So I sneaked my dad’s camera out of the house and quickly burnt through the roll of film. I was so desperate to get it developed that I told him all the stories I’d captured on film; he couldn’t even be mad at me. I’d found my thing: images with stories.

Then I grew up. And created the Animal Tales ☺

The Animal Tales are snarky and inspirational little nuggets of wisdom that revolve around a world of toy animals doing their best to live with grace and humor in our world. They are little witty lunch-box notes made of life lessons that we can all laugh at together. And we can share that laughter, making the world feel a little bit closer.

Each Tale has been inspired by life lessons… the good, the bad, and the absurd. I believe it’s the laughter and the little wins that lift us back up. And that is what the Animal Tales are, a laugh you can hold in your hands and give to someone else to brighten their day.

If you order directly through me, I will need your shop’s billing and shipping address, and the name or SKU of the cards you want. I will make you an invoice, and you can call in payment, mail-in payment, or pay the invoice through Square. Orders generally ship 2-3 days after payment has been made (unless you request a specific ship date).

ORDERING:

• Minimum opening order is $135.

• Reorder minimum is $75.

• Please submit orders via email (Jamie@TheMemorableImage.com), phone (802-249-1579), or on Faire: https://faire.com/direct/thememorableimage.

• Credit cards or PayPal are accepted. Payment is due prior to order shipping.

• Cancellations must be received within 3 business days of placing order.

SHIPPING & TURN-AROUND TIMES:

• Orders ship USPS Priority Mail with standard tracking. Rush shipping is available upon request (additional fee may apply).

• Orders ship 2-3 days after payment is recieved (extremely large orders may take longer).

• Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be included on your final invoice.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES:

Returns & exchanges must be requested within 24 hours of receipt. Items must be returned within 3 days after submitting the request. All items must be returned unopened.

FAQs:

Are the photos glued to the outside of the cards?

No, they are digitally printed in a single layer on the front of the cards.

Is the inside of the card white or craft paper?

The inside is white.

How do you come up with these stories?

These stories are all based on life lessons that I probably learned the hard-way (are there any life lessons that can be learned the easy way?!)

Do you do all the photography?

Yes, I do all the photography and writing (and most of the cake decorating as well).

I’ve noticed some of the cards have the names on them. Are they the same characters?

You have a good eye for detail! Yes, the Animal Tales are a series of snapshots in the lives of these characters. The larger collection is like a family photo album.
