NEW LIFESTYLE. NEW LOOK.

Stylish Bristol Pointe apartments at The Mayf lower feature brand-new f loor plans that enhance functionality and comfort.

Newly renovated Bristol Pointe apartments feature updated amenities and additional square feet of living space – not to mention all the perks of living at Winter Park’s best senior living community!

Style. Simplicity. Space. When The Mayflower set out to update our Traditional independent-living apartment residences, our team spared no effort to devise a new-and-improved layout that checks all the boxes.

“Every detail has been thoughtfully and intentionally designed to create a more efficient, elevated living experience,” says Taylor Womack, Director of Marketing & Brand Engagement. “Here you can keep all the things you love, within a less cluttered, more open floor plan.”

Whether you’re inviting neighbors over for dinner, hosting friends for a round of bridge, or spending a quiet evening at home, you’ll enjoy a modern, flexible living area. Consider just a few of the highlights:

• A more inviting kitchen. By removing the galley wall between the kitchen and living area, the renovated residences give home chefs more room to maneuver –as well as a larger “waterfall” counter, an open dining area, and a wine cooler.

• Designed to accommodate your lifestyle. Both the kitchen and bathroom boast more surface area and extra storage cabinets, making it a perfect solution for those who like to maximize counter space.

• An upgrade to your daily routine. In addition to cabinets and wider

counters, the reimagined vanity area in the bathroom features double sinks and, for added safety, floor-level lighting with motion sensors.

• More living space. We converted the porch to connect with the living room and bedroom, extending the living space and creating a bright, airy atmosphere throughout.

STYLE + SUBSTANCE

At The Mayflower, style and substance go hand-in-hand. So, along with these new perks, you’ll get all the desirable features our Bristol Pointe apartments already offer –like full kitchens, utility rooms with washer and dryer, walk-in closets, solid-wood cabinets, sound-engineered walls and ceilings, an emergency call system, crown molding and your choice of flooring, counter tops, and wall color.

Plus, all residences, regardless of size, come with housekeeping and maintenance –and convenient access to all the advantages of our vibrant campus, from social events to exceptional programs like lifelong learning classes and seminars – plus the guarantee of high-quality long-term care, right on campus. And here's the best part: Residences at Bristol Pointe are surprisingly affordable, with entrance fees starting at $201k.

New Bristol Pointe residents Nic and Carol Andreyev enjoy walking around The Mayflower campus. They decided to make the move for healthcare security, “wanting a sense of community,” and the ability to “lock and leave” when they travel.

AND THIS ...CAN BE YOUR BACKYARD!

First-time visitors to The Mayflower will tell you that our campus is one of Winter Park’s best-kept secrets. Located just minutes away from downtown shops, restaurants and museums, and nestled among ponds, beautifully landscaped grounds, and walking paths, our campus is a literal “breath of fresh air” for those who enjoy the outdoors. In addition to bike rides or brisk walks, residents can interact with nature at every turn:

watching the birds and wildlife, and even fishing. From blue herons, turtles, mallards, ibises (and an occasional otter) … to colorful flowers and greenery, Mayflower surroundings are peaceful and relaxing. And that, according to research, is good for overall health – especially for older adults. Studies have shown that “green zones” and “blue zones” (where there’s water) promote feelings of renewal and spiritual connection.

“When I first moved here, I was impressed by how gorgeous the grounds were, but I had no idea how restorative they could be,” says Bristol Pointe resident Lawrie Hall, who appreciates the nexus between the community’s natural setting and wellness. “From the walkable campus to the outdoor yoga classes, the options here are absolutely astonishing. There’s vitality all around you.”

WHY OUR RESIDENTS LOVE BRISTOL POINTE

The reason people choose The Mayflower is about far more than square footage and amenities. It’s the lifestyle, the sense of community, the camaraderie among friends, the peace of mind. What does living here mean to Bristol Pointe residents? In their own words:

“As a friend of mine said, it’s a New York apartment. I have room for everything I need: a full kitchen, living room, and office – but I can also go out and get involved with all the activities and events on campus. The Mayflower is full of friendly, nice people. I’m living and growing … and I think living here is going to add years to my life. I love this place!”

“When I first visited The Mayflower, I knew right away this was where I wanted to be. From the large windows letting in natural light … to the open floorplan, my apartment is bright and cheery. I'm in my cozy little place, and I have everything I need. It’s all right here, and it’s top of the line. You don’t have to worry about anything – this is just like a resort.”

– Joanne “JJ” Judy

“I’m on the sixth floor, so I have a great view. The apartment is just very comfortable – and the nice thing about being in Bristol Pointe is that you run into people all the time, when you're walking the hallways, or if you go to eat, etc. I think being part of that larger social community, rather than sitting at home by yourself, is very important.”

– Dick Broennle

“I love the setup at The Mayflower: I still have a car, a covered parking space – and my apartment is lovely, with a view of the pond, the fountain, trees and greenery. I love sunrises here. There are so many different things to do – literally something for everyone. Plus, it’s very friendly. People go out of their way to get to know you and it’s very easy to make friends.”

– Nancy Williams

Among the perks of living at Bristol Pointe: Independent-living residents can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors right from their own apartments. All offer views of greenspace, many with stunning vistas of the pool, Fitness Center and pond.

BRISTOL POINTE COMES WITH

STIMULATING PROGRAMS... LIVE ENTERTAINMENT... CREATIVE ARTS

Just imagine … tai chi, ballet barre, art classes, sewing groups, book clubs, duplicate bridge, game nights, live entertainment and more! Everything you need to optimize brain health, engagement, and socialization – and it’s all “in residence” at Bristol Pointe.

Art Appreciation. The Mayf lower’s hands-on art classes and art appreciation lectures give residents like Liane West and Henry Morell plenty of avenues for expanding their palettes.

Healthy living starts with active living – in every sense of the phrase. The Mayflower is filled with a litany of outstanding opportunities for fitness, fun, and culture … along with a social network of friends and neighbors to share it with. All that contributes to a unique environment where residents can learn, grow, and share knowledge with others.

CREATIVE LEARNING

When it comes to lifelong learning, what matters most isn’t what you learn, but that you learn consistently: challenging yourself to explore unfamiliar ideas and develop new skills. And the importance of doing that does not lessen as time goes on. On the contrary, it becomes even more critical.

“Brains need stimulating environments,” says Laura Carstensen, director of the Stanford Center on Longevity. “Think of [education] like physical exercise. It’s not like you can take a year, exercise really hard, and then coast the rest of your life. You need cognitive stimulation throughout.”

At The Mayflower, we believe it’s never too late to learn. So when you’re ready to work on brain health, we offer lots of ways to get you started … and keep you going. From wine-tasting seminars

to choir practice, to language lessons, to history lectures, our community is home to an ever-evolving curriculum of programs and activities – including a recent partnership with the Winter Park Lifelong Learning Foundation, which hosts on-campus classes open to residents and guests alike.

Programs and classes include:

• Art History Lectures (presented by staff from the Orlando Museum of Art and the Rollins Museum of Art)

• Expert-led Classes, Lectures, and Workshops (through the Winter Park Lifelong Learning Foundation)

• Weekly Arts & Crafts Classes

• Resident-led Book Clubs

• French 101

• Poetry Club and Poetry Writing Group

• Watercolors, Acrylics and Oil Paints

• Chorus (with Dr. Andrew Minear, founder of Orlando Sings)

• Knitting and Sewing Groups

• SoulCollage with Bickley Wilson

• Nutrition Corner Classes (by Wellness Coordinator Sarah Burke)

• Jewelry Making

• And more!

WINTER PARK COMES TO THE MAYFLOWER

In a presentation by Winter Park Chamber president Betsy Gardner (shown at right in left-hand photo), residents learned how land-use decisions made years ago have shaped our community and how decisions made today could help the city be even more accessible and welcoming for future generations.

Stepping into Fitness. Designed to accommodate beginners, as well as those with more advanced f itness goals, The Mayf lower’s f itness classes emphasize strength, f lexibility, balance, posture, cardio, endurance and most of all, fun! We offer Chair Exercise; Cardio Dance; Basic Ballet Barre; Yoga; Tai Chi; Water Aerobics; Posture, Core and More; Rise and Shine Stretch; and Brain Fitness, among others.

Sit Back and ENJOY THE SHOW!

At The Mayflower, we strive to offer something for everyone – and that’s especially true when it comes to entertainment. While residents often travel to venues like the Dr. Phillips Center and Winter Park Playhouse, they can also enjoy live performances right at home.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed visiting artists from Opera Orlando, the Bach Festival Society, Rollins College, and Central Florida Vocal Arts – along with musical performances ranging from classical and jazz … to Caribbean vibes and steel drum rhythms … to the Festhaus Band, an Oktoberfest favorite.
