EDITION 29, 23 MARCH 2018

WELLBEING UPDATE Here at Marlborough there have been many developments on our journey to achieving the Wellbeing Award for Schools. For half term homework, children across the school created a Random Acts of Kindness diary. The diaries showed the ways in which the children considered others and the positive impact it had on them or the receiver. We were blown away by the children’s creativity, generosity and thoughtfulness! In addition, it has been a pleasure to have M Jolly (FoM) join the team. Her enthusiasm and expertise in the area of wellbeing has been highly beneficial and has had a positive impact on the children in Year 6. She will continue to promote mindfulness and will endeavour to work alongside all staff, promoting wellbeing across the whole school. Finally, Year 2 have been reaping the benefits of weekly yoga sessions on a Friday afternoon. The purpose of these sessions is to unwind and relax after a week of busy learning. The children have commented positively on the benefits to their concentration and level of focus and these are shared with you overleaf. Ann Savage (EYFS Leader), Monique Ring (KS1 Phase Leader), Ryan Briody (LKS2 Phase Leader) and Samantha Bourne (UKS2 Phase Leader)
