TAURUS
(Apr. 21-May 20)

You could feel a whirlwind has left your life after the last 12 months. Finances come under the spotlight in a big way right now. New directions will either present themselves or will have to be taken. There needs to be an element of keeping things under control and balanced rather than thinking big and taking any risks.
LEO (July 23-August 22)
Your priorities may begin to change in ways you had not planned because of changing conditions involving other people. There could certainly be an element of excitement but you need to be careful that this does not mask a lot more pressure that could make you feel obligated. Take your time to make decisions carefully to mid June.

SCORPIO (Oct.23-Nov21)
Anything that involves you with other people or a person can seem to have a life of its own at the moment. It could also be taking new directions that you hadn’t exactly planned or expected. It could be difficult to make choices you want. You will need to find a way to compromise whether you like it or not. Work on this to mid June.
GEMINI (May
21-June 20)

There are so many new beginnings going on in your sign at the moment, including the New Moon, which could see life taking off in many directions. It could also bring about so many things to think about that you may not know where to start. Be aware of obligations involved. Take you time to consider all options in any situation up to mid June.
VIRGO
(August 23-Sept.22)
Overload when it comes to commitments could be taking shape right now. Amongst this can be new ones that you had not expected or as a result of a promotion you have been aiming for. Don’t try to please everybody. You need to generate balance when it comes to expectations and what you can reasonably manage.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb.18)
Enjoy any unexpected opportunity for pleasures that can come your way. Some may decide to take up a new interest or hobby and if this is the case it will prove very enjoyable –it will certainly have creativity attached, which could also mean it will stimulate this within yourself in some way and transform the manner in which you deal with life.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22-Dec.21)

Interactions with others will get even busier. Amongst this can be new people coming along that will have a degree of excitement attached. There can be major turning points over the next 9 months where relationships of all descriptions are concerned, both on a personal or work level. Take note of communications from now to mid June.
PISCES
(Feb. 19-March 20)
Anything you have personally committed yourself to since March 2023 could now result in the sense that a whole new structure has finally got to the stage of being put in place. With it can come a feeling of freedom in some way or that you have now reached a point where things can only keep growing in a beneficial way and so they can but don’t rush.
CANCER (June
21-July 22)
There is a lot going on behind the scenes which has an element of new beginnings involved. Much of this can be because of quickly changing circumstances that you have not anticipated. With whatever is eventually presented, you need to take your time to consider the commitments attached. Be sure there is nothing hidden on this score.

LIBRA
(Sept. 23-Oct.22)
The realisation that all sorts of opportunities are open to you in the future could suddenly dawn. Amongst this will be new ones that will require some detailed work or consideration when it comes to handling them efficiently. You need to be realistic about what is manageable when it comes to taking care of your health as well.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 22-Jan.19)
Any comfortable routines you think you have in place could be taken way off track with the need for you to deal with some new ones. Avoid generosity when it comes to agreeing to anything as you could find it just keeps on growing. For this reason you should take your time with decisions to mid June. Get all the information you can for informed decisions.

ARIES
(March 21-April 20)

New directions that have taken shape during May can now require some sort of winding up where finances are concerned. This is more likely to be focussing on what you don’t really need to spend money on. There will be much to think about to mid June. There could be a lot more information to deal with than you anticipate.
JUNE GARDEN TO DO’S
• Cover Brassica crops with floating row cover to protect from cabbage moth and flea beetle damage if these little critters have been a problem in the past.
• Have a trellis system in place for your tomato patch before the plants begin to sprawl.
• Colorado potato beetle adults, eggs and larvae can be hand picked to remove or sprayed with an organic insecticide, spinosid if infestation is bad. Adults are yellow and black striped beetles. The eggs are yellow and laid in groups on the undersides of leaves. The larvae are humpbacked and red. Look for them on the stem tips. They are present almost all season.
• Also keep an eye out for Striped and spotted cucumber beetles transmit a bacterial wilt to squashes and melons. Adults and eggs can be hand-picked throughout the season.
• Watch for Mexican bean beetle. To be on the safe side you can cover the entire crop with floating row cover as soon as seedlings emerge.
• Aphids of all types show up on a range of host plants as soon as the warm weather arrives. Look for them in newly unfurling foliage and sticky leaves are also a sign of their presence since they secrete a ‘honeydew’. Black sooty bold may also in this sticky substance and while alarming looking does little to no damage since it does not penetrate the leaves. Aphids, however, do damage the plant. Spray leaves with a strong jet of water to dislodge most of them. Insecticidal soap is a organic approved product that provides pretty good control as long as the insects are wetted well. A second and third treatment to kill newly hatched eggs may be needed in 5-7 days.
• Squash vine borer adults are 1 inch long, orange and green day-flying moths that are emerging from the soil now. They lay brown, button-shaped, 1/16 inch eggs at the base of the vines of summer and winter squashes. Examine stems daily and remove eggs by hand to prevent burrowing of larvae as they hatch. Wrap lower 6 –12 inches of stem with aluminum foil or floating row cover to prevent egg laying.
• Once the soil has warmed, put a 2 –4 inch layer of organic mulch on vegetable beds, flower beds and around trees and shrubs.
