Our role at The Living Bank becomes more important every day because we help donors understand both the challenges and the benefits. To be a living donor is a life-saving decision. It’s a life altering decision too. Every donor deserves independent, accurate information. That’s what we provide. We offer an optimal choice, a fully independent living donor advocate, from outside your transplant program, to protect the best interests of the living donor, ensuring their decision to donate is informed and free from coercion.

The Living Bank was established in 1968 as the Nation’s first organ donor registry and the first provider of organ donation and transplantation education.
Today we provide support and protections to living organ donors. Our team of transplant social workers partner alongside live donor transplant programs nationwide to ensure donors receive the care they need and deserve.
