NEW ACCOUNTS – All new accounts will be prepaid by credit card [Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX]. Visa Debit cards are not accepted.

CREDIT TERMS – Credit terms may be requested after three (3) credit card transactions. To apply, a credit application must be submitted with three (3) supplier references. The credit application will only be processed for accounts with a minimum of $1500 in annual purchases. Credit request processing times are at the discretion of Gourmet du Village, and depend on the order in which requests are received. Once approved, credit terms will be Net 30 days from date of invoice. Credit Card payment will not be accepted for accounts with Terms. Payments made after the 30-day terms will incur a 2% per month interest charge, which will be applied at the time of payment.

INVOICE – All invoices are sent by email and a hard copy is sent with the goods.

INTEREST – 2% per month is charged on all past due accounts and will result in a loss of credit privileges.

COST OF COLLECTION – Should the account be sent to collection for non-payment, the borrower agrees to pay in addition to the principal and interest due hereon, all reasonable cost of collection, including, without limitation, legal fees and all other cost and expense related to the recovery of the owned amount.

NSF CHEQUE – Will incur a $40 service charge and credit terms will be revoked.

CREDIT CARD – Credit Card information must be provided when placing the order. Payment will be processed in full on day of shipment. An email with a secure link from the payment processor, Ebizcharge, will be sent to safely enter credit card information. All details are encrypted, stored only for future orders. Full card details will never be shared. Alternatively, payment information can be provided by phone.

Customers will not be called for their Credit Card number; it is the Customer’s responsibility to provide payment information. Orders will remain on hold until the Credit Card information is provided. A preauthorization charge will take place when the order is printed and sent to our warehouse for fulfillment. The final amount is processed upon shipping. During peak season, there may be a delay of a few days.

TAXES – orders are not subject to taxes.

PRICES – Valid for all shipments in 2025, subject to change at manufacturers discretion

MINIMUM OPENING ORDER – $400 for initial order, $200 for repeat orders. Contact our sales representative in your area for more details.

SHIPPING – UPS Ground, FOB Champlain, NY.

All shipping charges will be added to your invoice.

RUSH, OVERNIGHT OR AIR SERVICES ARE NOT AVAILABLE

Freight charges are calculated by the carrier at the time of shipment based on both the volume (# of boxes) as well as the weight of the shipment.

NOTE: oversized boxes, such as our free standing displays/shippers are considered oversized by all carriers and do incur an oversize box fee factored into the total freight charges for the order. Cost of freight is out of our control; we do our best to select the lowest cost carrier based on customer’s location.

All customer arranged (collect) freight orders are FOB Champlain, NY.

BACK-ORDERS – Under $75 will be cancelled. Freight charges apply to all backorders shipped. Given our extensive product range, backorder situations are inevitable. While we do our best to keep all items in stock, some factors are beyond our control and may lead to temporary stock shortages. We prioritize orders according to the due dates specified by our customers. If certain products are not available, we will ship the rest of the order to avoid delays.

Customers who do not accept or wish to receive backorders MUST notify us. If no notification is provided, back orders over $75 will be processed as soon as they become available.

HEAT/COLD

SENSITIVE PRODUCTS

– Our delicious chocolate and other temperature-sensitive items are available to ship weather permitting. We want to ensure these goodies do not melt or freeze during transit.

DAMAGE OR LOSS – We kindly ask that you thoroughly inspect your shipment for any visible damages before acknowledging receipt of the goods. If any damages are observed, please promptly document them with the carrier upon delivery and notify Gourmet du Village immediately. Failure to report damages on the waybill will result in the refusal of your claim.

In the unfortunate event that your parcel arrives damaged and a signature was not required by the carrier, please take clear photographs of both the exterior boxes as well as the affected products. Email these photos promptly to sales@gourmetduvillage.com. Additionally, customers must complete our claim form within 30 days of receiving the goods. All claims not made within 30 days of receipt of goods will be refused. Credits are applied to the customer’s account.

For collect shipments, any damage claims must be filed directly with the transporter.

Your cooperation in following these procedures ensures a swift and efficient resolution in the event of damage or loss during transit.

RETURNS – With FDA regulations regarding Homeland Security and bioterrorism, we cannot accept returns.

REFUSED DELIVERY – Full freight (to and from) will be billed to your account.

MIXED CASES & FILLED DISPLAY – Where available, mixed cases are pre-packed. We reserve the right to change the contents of mixed cases, kits and store displays depending on product availability at the time of order.

UNAUTHORIZED REPRODUCTION OF IMAGES – From our website and catalogue are prohibited.
