Born on December 23, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan, Chantal has emerged as a successful magazine publisher, author, skincare line owner, ghostwriter, line dance instructor, content creator, event host, and motivational speaker. Even as she battles cancer and undergoes chemotherapy, her achievements continue to inspire those around her.

Chantal’s journey began under the guidance of her beloved grandmother, Gloria Taylor, who raised her and her younger sister after the tragic loss of their mother when Chantal was just three years old. Her grandmother’s teachings of hard work and determination deeply influenced Chantal, instilling in her a resilience that would shape her future endeavors.

In 2018, Chantal founded True Essence Organics, a skincare line dedicated to crafting products from natural ingredients. This venture was inspired by her battle with Desmoid Fibromatosis, a rare form of cancer affecting connective tissue. Despite enduring intense treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries, Chantal’s spirit remained unbroken, and her skincare business thrived, reaching major retailers like Walmart. Chantal’s accomplishments extend beyond her entrepreneurial ventures. She has ghostwritten several books and created line dances for Southern Soul musicians such as C. Lindsey, Breeze Mr. Do2much, and Smokedogg870. Additionally, she is a respected event host and motivational speaker, sharing her story to inspire others. In 2023, she received the Entrepreneurial Shero Award, further cementing her reputation as a formidable force in her industry.

In December 2022, Chantal launched

The Legacy Magazine MS, a publication dedicated to celebrating the greatness of Mississippi and uplifting local businesses. Within five months, the magazine sold over 5,000 digital copies, featuring inspiring stories of notable individuals and entrepreneurs.

Chantal’s passion for her community is evident in her commitment to showcasing its remarkable leaders and businesses.

Despite her ongoing battle with cancer, Chantal continues to break barriers and inspire others. Her story is one of relentless courage and determination. She balances her demanding professional life with her role as a mother of three, all while undergoing grueling chemotherapy treatments.
