ABOUT THE PUBLISHER

In March of 2018 Chantal Taylor started her business True Essence Organics. Her business takes raw ingredients from nature and molds them into skincare products usable for different skin types.

Chantal's ambitions were not always skincare, although her purpose never wavered. Her skincare journey began when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called desmoid fibromatosis Since her diagnosis in 2018 she has and still is undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries.

Despite her illness, Chantal has become remarkably successful with her skincare business. She has been featured on the cover of Huami Magazine Jan/Feb 2022 edition, her products are in several stores near and far, and she is now on Walmart.com In the mist of all of this she is a mom to 3 handsome boys, a sister to 15 siblings, an aunt, a first-generation high school graduate, and a soon to be first generation college graduate come March 2023.

Her biggest motivation is her children, but she would not be the woman she is today without her grandmother Gloria Taylor. In Chantal's adolescence years her grandmother was the one who raised her after her mom passed. Together they would form an unbreakable bond lasting until her unexpected passing in August of 2021. Since the passing of her grandmother, she has used this tragedy to help push and motivate her more toward making True Essence Organics known locally, nationally, and some day globally.

DESAREE Moorehead

Desaree started D’s Beautiful Bling in 2020 because a friend of hers encouraged her to get to the bag. Her response was, no, I don’t know how to sell anything. Well, what she didn’t know was that the jewelry industry she was stepping into that the items actually sell themselves. At first she didn’t think she would like it, but now she do and she enjoys working her business.

In the beginning, Desaree didn’t have many resources when it came to Jewelry set up. She used what she had. Over time, she was able to purchase different items and her husband had made her a lot of Jewelry cases. She now can say that her business/setup looks more professional.

Some of the things that Desaree has learned so far are that strangers can be your biggest supporters. She has also learned that you must get out of your own way if you’re wanting to succeed as an entrepreneur. Desaree learned that there is enough money out here for all of us to make.

DESAREE Moorehead

Desaree’s favorite part of being an entrepreneur is building relationships with her customers. With her being an introvert becoming an entrepreneur has pushed me out of my shell.

Within the next 5-10 years, she plans to grow a team (business partners) which will further push her out of her shell. Then, she would have people to lead. Desaree believes building a team (business partners), will open up the potential to begin earning residual income.

Desaree’s advice to other business owners like her is to go ahead and start your business. If you wait until you have everything together, you’ll never start your business. By all means, do it scared. You will learn along the way. That will only make you stronger and it’ll make you a better entrepreneur.

“I THINK THAT ENTREPRENEURS SHOULD BE HONEST, DETERMINED TO SUCCEED, HAVE COMPASSION AND BE UNDERSTANDING."

ERICA Palmer

Erica Palmer is the owner of Queens Royal House. Queens Royal house is a plus size clothing boutique that caters to women of all ethnicities.

Erica has always had a love and passion for beauty and, well, basically all things in that industry. Her ability to create with makeup, jewelry, and clothes has contributed greatly to who she is today. She believes that the industry she is in is ever evolving, and for her it has come with its share of challenges, such as still being true to your individuality and not following what's seemingly popular, and learning to focus more on her vision and blueprint for her business and not to watch others around her.

“It can be difficult when the market seems to be flooded with so many similar companies, however, I had to think about what makes me unique as a business owner and to remain focused on that and giving my customers the best service available”

ERICA Palmer

Her biggest learning experience she has had as an entrepreneur is that “Nobody” is going to be as committed to your business as you are. God gave the Vision to you, and ultimately you will be the one teapot for carrying it out.

The advice she would give to new business owners or those thinking of starting a business, is that becoming an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart and it will grow you up. It will teach you consistency and tests your faith, there will be days of plenty and days of lack. Continue to follow the blueprint that God has given you and trust the vision. Yes, you will have to work and work hard, however, the rewards are so worth it! You are the biggest and best investment you will ever make! Bet on you, all the time.

Erica's favorite part of being an entrepreneur is twofold. She loves the fact that she actually get to be her own boss and that she gets to impact the lives of those women she comes in contact with.

“It brings me joy to make a lasting impression and to help another woman see her beauty inside and out.”
