JR. GOLF SUMMER CAMP COUPLES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

UPDATE

Members, the 2024 Golf Season is underway, and we’re excited for what lies ahead. Our Agronomy team has done a wonderful job in enhancing playable areas throughout the course by replacing mulch beds with Tiff Tuff Bermuda and Palisades Zoysia sod. Palisades Zoysia was chosen for its shade tolerance and growth patterns under trees. We anticipate effectively managing these new areas and documenting their growth for future course needs.

Here are some of the projects we completed this winter:

1. Tilled mulch bed behind 16 green and sodded with Palisades

2. Tilled and sodded rt. Mulch bed on #16 and sodded with Palisades

3. Tilled and sodded right of #10, irrigated and added controller

4. Removed fairway sod #3 and repaired all damaged rough areas throughout the course. Tilled and sodded with Tiff Tuff

5. Removed mulch beds #10 left rough, #12 right rough, behind #13 green, right of #14 rough

6. Reduced mulch beds right #17 and right of #1

7. Drainage projects on #4 rough

8. Irrigation repairs

Over the winter, our focus was on minimizing mulch beds in playable areas, a change that will be evident to our members. Additionally, we’ve addressed thin areas in several fairways resulting from winter damage in 2023. I’m confident that the team’s efforts this winter will reflect our ongoing goals.

Thank you for your support!

Regards,

JORDAN DEBONIS’S GOLF UPDATE

As the warmer weather rolls in, it’s clear that golf fever is spreading across our club like wildfire. With the golf season in full force, there’s no better time to dust off those clubs and hit the course. Whether it’s nine holes in the late evenings or a full round, we can’t wait to see you.

The golf course is in great shape due to our phenomenal Agronomy team. However, with the increased activity on the course, it’s essential for our members to do their part in maintaining the pristine conditions. One of the key aspects of course upkeep is repairing divots and ball marks. As the golf season kicks into high gear, the frequency of divots and ball marks naturally increases. It’s crucial for every golfer to take responsibility for their shots and ensure that any damage caused is promptly repaired. By doing so, we not only preserve the aesthetics of the course but also enhance the playing experience for everyone.

In addition to the excitement of regular play, we’re thrilled to announce the return of ladies’ golf to our roster of activities. After a winter season, ladies’ golf is back in action, providing an opportunity for our female members to showcase their skills, forge new friendships, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with the game.

Furthermore, we’re proud to highlight the tremendous growth of our LA Junior Golf program. This season, we boast the largest junior golf program in club history, offering young enthusiasts the chance to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their skills, and foster a lifelong love for golf. With the golf season in full swing and a myriad of exciting events and programs on the horizon, there’s no better time to be part of The Ledges golfing community.

Lastly, let’s elevate your corporate merchandise and take advantage of savings on some of our top brands! If you own your company or have thoughts about showcasing your logo, please come see us. We offer branded golf balls, quality apparel, many accessories, hats and much more. Please send me an email and we will determine what best fits your corporate merchandise needs.
