WELCOME

TO THE 2024 GOLF SEASON Welcome to the 2024 Golf Season! Last year marked a historic milestone with record-breaking participation and the highest number of golf rounds in club history. Anticipating another fantastic year for golf, we urge you to mark your calendars for upcoming events as they tend to fill up quickly. Specific sign-up times for major events will be announced, so keep an eye out for those dates. We’ve made a few changes to the dates and formats of some tournaments. The growth of our ladies and couples events is a priority, and we look forward to building on that success. Our junior program has experienced tremendous growth over the years. Witnessing these young talents evolve into competitors is both thrilling for the game and beneficial for the club. NEW this year will be our Junior Club Championship on Saturday, August 3rd, open to ages 5-17. This family-friendly event allows parents to caddie for their junior golfers, creating a memorable tradition. A heartfelt thank you from our Professional Staff for your continuous support throughout the golf season! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Regards, Jordan DeBonis, PGA Head Golf Professional

AGRONOMY WELCOME FROM JIM HOWELL Dear Members, As we approach the 24th season since the club’s opening in April 2000, we reflect on the evolution of our golf course. Changes, including the loss of trees, bunker renovations, and the addition of the short game area and golf academy, have transformed various aspects. Yet, our breathtaking and exciting layout remains a constant. Having hosted The Huntsville Championship for three years garnered praise from players and the PGA staff for our course and amenities. This year, our Agronomy team has scheduled numerous improvements, focusing on playable areas and aesthetics. Our unwavering goal is to provide the membership and guests with the best playing conditions each season. Thank you for your continued support! Sincerely, Jim Howell Director of Agronomy

LADIES GOLF

LEDGES LADIES

GOLF CLINICS 2024 is the year for our ladies golf to boom! We have exciting programs that will launch this year. This year we will focus on creating and reaching goals in every aspect of the golf swing. We will have a goal or test days at least once a month, which will consist of a scoring system that you will try to beat. Reaching these goals will help us be more consistent from putting all the way to driving the golf ball. We will have 3 different levels to choose from which will help with class sizes with more focus on great instruction. The Golf Staff ’s goal this year is to have the biggest turnout for the Ladies Club Championship we have ever had.

BEGINNER GROUP WEDNESDAYS 5:30-7:00 PM Beginning with basic fundamentals, this group is designed for women brand new to the game of golf. May and June will be spent learning how to make consistent contact with the ball, followed by an introduction to the golf course in July. August will be spent playing on the golf course and by September the group will be ready for friendly competition.

I N T E R M E DI AT E G RO U P TWO OP TIONS THURSDAYS 5:30-7:00 PM OR FRIDAYS 9:00-10:30 AM For women who have completed one year of clinics, this class aims to enhance skills, with a focus on improving contact. The program includes refresher lessons on basic fundamentals in May, swing-based drills in June, and a focus on golf course management in July—learning when to use each club for optimal scores. Unlike previous years, August and September will shift focus to playing individual balls instead of group scrambles.

LADIES LECACY GROUP THURSDAYS 10:00-11:30 AM Designed for participants with 2+ years of experience or seasoned players, this class takes your golf skills to the next level. Emphasizing consistent ball striking, we’ll fine-tune your technique for improved performance on the course. Learn the art of scoring, strategize for each hole, and master the skill of playing your own golf ball. This class goes beyond the basics, encouraging you to set season goals and actively participate in more than just our ladies’ clinic. 27
