Nutella and cream cheese turnovers: Ingredients: •

One pack of puff pastries

1/4 cup of cream cheese, softened

2/3 cup of Nutella

One egg and one tbsp of water (optional)

2 tbsp of powdered sugar (optional)

Directions: • • • • • • • •

Preheat oven to 325F Roll out puff pastry and divide into nine equal squares (a floured surface will make this easy) In a bowl, whisk Nutella and cream cheese until thoroughly mixed. An electric mixer used at a low setting can make this process less laborious. Place a dollop of Nutella in the center of one of the squares. Make sure there is enough room to fold the square in half. Fold the square into a triangle and use a fork to crimp the edges. Use a toothpick to poke holes in the turnover so that the possibility of the pockets exploding is eliminated. Optional: whisk the egg and water together and brush a coat on top of the turnovers so they will have a nice finish and texture. Bake for 25 minutes

One pack of puff pastries, thawed Nutella-the amount depends on how many pastries you make or how full they are. A small jar should be more than plenty.

Preheat the oven to 325F Roll out puff pastry (a floured surface will make this easy) Using a sharp knife, cut rectangles. The size is up to you, but try to keep them even. Making a wax paper template is a good idea. Fill a pastry bag or ziplock bag with Nutella. A fourth of a cup is a good starting measurement. Squeeze Nutella onto a rectangle of puff pastry. Leave about a fourth of an inch around the edge clear. Place another rectangle on top of the one you just covered in Nutella. Use a fork around the edges to keep the rectangles from coming apart in the oven. Poke holes in the pastry with a toothpick to allow for ventilation. Otherwise, your oven will be covered with Nutella. Place the pastries on a baking sheet with a layer of parchment paper or non-stick pan. Optional: brush the pastries with water to give them a golden finish after baking. Place in the oven and bake until golden brown (about 25 minutes).
