This artwork was painted back in 1563 by the Dutch and Flemish artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder. This painting is oil on wood and contains the Flemish Mannerism style. This artwork depicts a biblical scene of the tower of Babel that was located in Ancient Mesopotamia ( current day Iraq, Babel). As it symbolizes the multiplicity of language. The painting holds the power of languages and their interconnections together. Moreover, they showcase how different cultures can unite in one place, where they can get to create a beautiful artwork such as seen above.
