A Century of Unlocking Potential & Nurturing Student Excellence
The Kew-Forest School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory institution serving students from Preschool through Grade 12. For more than a century, our unwavering mission to exert all its energies, to use every means at its command… to make every child …a power for good,” remains steadfast.
We continue to cultivate an inquiry-based curriculum in each classroom, empowering each child to soar to their fullest potential. Today, our distinguished alumni are leaders across every industry –a living testament to the foundation of excellence they received during their formative years at The Kew-Forest School.

Letter from the Head of School
Dear Members of The Kew-Forest School Community,
As we reflect on the 2024-2025 academic year, I am filled with immense pride in what our students, faculty, and entire community have accomplished together, building upon the strong foundation that has defined Kew-Forest for over a century.
Still Exceptional
Our commitment to academic excellence has yielded remarkable results. I am thrilled to share that 100% of our Class of 2025 received college acceptances, with over 83% admitted to the top 10% of institutions across the country. What’s more, our seniors have been offered an impressive total of $732,758 per year in scholarships–amounting to nearly $3 million over four years. This recognition speaks to the quality of a KewForest education.
We continue to advance our International Baccalaureate candidacy for both our Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes, with authorization visits scheduled for December 2025. Once completed, KewForest will officially be an IB World School. This milestone represents our commitment to global-minded education and inquirybased learning while maintaining that which makes Kew-Forest special.
Now More Affordable
This year has brought opportunities and challenges that required us to think strategically about our future. Our tuition reset initiative has opened doors for more families to access a Kew-Forest education, reflecting our belief that excellence should be accessible to students across Queens.
The generosity of our families, alumni, and friends continues to make our mission possible. Your support–whether through annual giving, volunteer efforts, or championing our school's values–directly impacts our students' experiences and opportunities.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to nurturing curious, confident, and compassionate young people who will make meaningful contributions to our world.
With appreciation for your continued partnership,
Tiffany D. Trotter Head of School
Letter from the Board Chair
Dear Kew-Forest Community,
It is with pride and gratitude that I present our Annual Report for the 2024–2025 school year.
This has been a year of progress and reflection. At the heart of all we do is our unwavering commitment to student achievement. I am thrilled to share that 100% of our Class of 2025 received college acceptances, with over 85% admitted to top-tier institutions across the country. These remarkable young people leave KewForest with the curiosity, confidence, and compassion to become lifelong learners and impactful leaders.
This year has also been marked by both challenge and transformation. We mourned the loss of our beloved Trustee, Justine Hoffman, whose steadfast dedication to our mission continues to inspire us. Her legacy is a powerful reminder of the shared purpose that binds our community.
Like many independent schools, we’ve encountered economic headwinds. But rather than weaken us, these challenges have galvanized our school. Together, our Board and broader community crafted a strategic vision focused on budget sustainability and enrollment growth.
A cornerstone of this vision was our tuition reset initiative–a pivotal move that opens
the door to a Kew-Forest education for more families across our great city. This decision reflects our deep belief that access and excellence strengthen each other.
Our whole community has come together in extraordinary ways to move Kew-Forest forward, from the record-breaking gift of the Class of 1975 to parents who’ve stepped up as champions of our school’s future. Thank you for being part of this momentum.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Christopher D’Amato Chair, Board of Trustees

“K-F gave me a strong academic foundation, helped me build confidence to try new activities -even those I was not good at-and the opportunity to be a leader. I loved my time here.”
“Athletics at Kew-Forest is more than competition, it’s a community where our students learn to lead and persevere.”

Athletic Program
This year, our student-athletes demonstrated exceptional commitment, sportsmanship, and school spirit across all seasons. From buzzer-beaters to personal bests, each team contributed to a vibrant and growing year in athletics.
We proudly fielded 8 teams across all three seasons with over 50% of our students participating. We look forward to K-F’s continued expansion and leadership in our athletic clubs and competitive teams, and we will continue to focus on inclusive participation, competition, and a strong sense of team spirit.

The Kew-Forest visual and performing arts program cultivates creativity across all artistic disciplines, inspiring students to be innovative thinkers in all endeavors. From Pre-School through the Upper School, our students don't simply learn about art they live it, breathe it, and carry its transformative power into every aspect of their academic and personal growth.
Kew-Forest gives students a space to really be themselves within such a supportive environment. There are so many opportunities for student leadership, and once you join a club, group, or class here at Kew-Forest, you really get to experience a kind of closeness you can't get anywhere else.”

Kew Forest Parents Association
The Kew-Forest Parents Association (KFPA) is at the heart of our community spirit, bringing families, students, and faculty together from September to June. Last year alone, the KFPA organized more than 20 events—from beloved traditions like the International Potluck to new favorites like Karaoke Night and lively school dances. These joyful gatherings, along with thoughtful faculty and staff appreciation activities, were made possible thanks to the energy, creativity, and commitment of our dedicated families.
Our Parents Association strengthens our school by creating extraordinary events. These events enrich our young scholars' journeys and forges family bonds. Financial Review Letter from the Alumni Council Chair
Dear Friends and Alumni of Kew-Forest,
I am honored to write a letter about what Kew-Forest means to me and how K-F provided the foundation upon which I attribute so many of my successes.
Kew-Forest created a nurturing environment for not only my personal and academic growth, but also my experiences as an athlete.
This wonderful school was more to me than just an educational institution; it was my second home and extended family. My ongoing friendships with many of you are proof of that.
The values instilled in me during my time at K-F have shaped my character and contributed to my years as a competitive athlete and coach, as well as my successful career in education.
I am truly grateful for the experiences I gained from Kew-Forest School, and I am dedicated to giving back to this wonderful school as an engaged alumna. I love reconnecting with alumni, contributing to K-F initiatives, and supporting the next generation of students in every way possible.
Sincerely,

The Kew-Forest School 2025 Alumni Reunion
2023-2024 Financial Review
On the weekend of May 31st, 2025, milestone classes spanning six decades-1960, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1990, and 2010-returned to Kew-Forest to celebrate their shared legacy.
The festivities included studentled campus tours, the Faculty Hall of Fame induction of Señor Porto, and an evening filled with laughter and reminiscence.
The weekend kicked off with class dinners at the Westside Tennis Club and culminated in the spirited Sunday afternoon
Alumni Reunion Basketball Game. The Class of 1975 made the celebration even more meaningful by raising $27,000 for current Kew-Forest students, funding a new scoring table for volleyball and basketball home games, and establishing the Class of 1975 Student Scholarship.”

After graduating from Dartmouth and Georgetown Law Center, I moved to Germany to marry in 1983. I taught law in English at universities in northern Germany and still teach at the University of Hamburg. I volunteer as a high school English teacher for migrants. I started a project, “Akzeptanz” (Acceptance), which sends Muslims, Christians and Jewish teenagers to high schools to nurture greater religious acceptance. I recently became a member of the governing board of the Order of St John, supervising 75 volunteer branches throughout Germany, and in the USA.

As a way to counterbalance the deep tech focus of my job as Senior Director of DevOps & Cloud Engineering at Teladoc Health, I’ve recently started volunteering at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, where I participate in dives in the Open Ocean” exhibit, which contains five adult sand tiger sharks and two sandbar sharks. Volunteer dives take place three times a week and include both tank cleaning and public presentation dives, helping to promote the Aquarium’s mission and conservation efforts. It’s been an amazing opportunity to combine my passion for marine life and scuba diving with public education and conservation.

I am a class of ’89 alumnus, and my girls attend The Waldorf School in Garden City. After receiving a strong educational foundation at Kew-Forest, I went on to get a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, which supported a 20+ year Executive career leading Finance and Operations organizations for several global investment banks with roles based in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Through work, study and leisure, I have had the good fortune to explore the globe extensively. I still enjoy world travel and scuba diving…but, most of all, I enjoy developing tomorrow’s business and industry leaders, and helping them to maximize their true potential as President of Training Corp and an authorized partner of Crestcom International across 5 US states: NY. NJ. CT, RI, and DE. A TEDx Talk I recently gave, the roots of which were partly derived from my Commencement address to the K-F Class of 2020, introduces a personal life and leadership model I have developed to overcome my own personal challenges and enable others to achieve success in their own lives and careers. I am currently working on my first book which is slated to be released in Sept 2026.

Since graduating from Kew-Forest, I earned my degree from Boston University’s School of Management in 2009, with a double major in International Management and Finance. After graduation, I joined The Estée Lauder Companies in Warsaw, Poland. What began as a three-month internship turned into a sixyear career, where I held various roles with increasing responsibility across departments including marketing, finance, supply chain, and business management.
Education has always been a priority for me, so I also completed my MBA while living in Warsaw. In 2015, I returned to New York and transferred internally to join the company’s Travel Retail division an exciting and dynamic market. A few years later, I was offered the opportunity to build a global commercial team based in Switzerland. I ended up loving it and in 2019 wound up meeting my husband another American—in Zurich. Our relationship grew stronger during the pandemic, and in 2020 we welcomed our dog, Hermes, and in 2022, we were married in Tuscany, Italy. We’re now expecting our first child and looking forward to this exciting new chapter! These days, we split our time between Switzerland and New York. I am currently the Global Client Director, Travel Retail Worldwide at Estée Lauder.

I graduated from Kew-Forest in 2020 and went on to study at Vassar College where I received my BA in Philosophy in May of 2024. After graduating, I remained on Vassar’s campus for the summer to study directing at the Powerhouse Theater Training Company. While at Powerhouse, I got connected to the Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective and I was able to work for them as a Production Associate for the first half of 2025, before stepping away to take a job as an Office Production Assistant for HBO Max’s The Chair Company with Tim Robinson. I look forward to spending the rest of my time this year developing a production company, the Tin Can Contingency, with some of my peers from college. We hope to produce our first full work in the fall of 2026, so make sure to stay in touch!

I graduated from Kew-Forest in 2020, and dove into the conventional college track. After earning a BS in Animal Science, I began pursuing a DVM at Cornell University. I intend to make a career in conservation medicine and One Health. Kew-Forest’s emphasis on community service continues to influence my dual commitment to endangered species and the locals who live alongside them. Most recently, that entailed
collaborating with the Dayak people to conserve the Sumatran rhinoceroses of Borneo, Indonesia. In addition to veterinary medicine, I am an avid explorer with an appreciation for storytelling an appreciation honed by class with Dr. Spelman. Long-term, I aim to contribute to the science and journalism of animal cognition.
SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR 2025 ALUMNI REUNION SPONSORS
The rich diversity of the Kew-Forest community makes our educational approach even more powerful. Our halls are filled with diverse perspectives from across Queens and beyond, reflecting the broader global society our students will navigate.”
