Celebrate the power of music, learning, and community with this vibrant program of cinematic and symphonic favourites. Journey through the emotional landscapes of Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone, the evocative imagery of Borodin’s In the Steppes of Central Asia, and the timeless drama of Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1.
Sunday 1 March 2026 at 3pm We acknowledge the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of Penrith and the Nepean River. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and honour the deep cultural knowledge, creativity and storytelling that have shaped this region for tens of thousands of years. At PP&VA, we are committed to listening, learning and celebrating the enduring cultural strength of First Nations communities. Always was, always will be.
Discover the rich textures of music inspired by folk, drama, and lyrical beauty. Featuring Grainger’s evocative The Lost Lady Found, the pulsating energy of Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Bizet’s sensuous Habanera, and Tchaikovsky’s majestic Russian Choral and Overture.

Open to young musicians aged 6–25, PYO offers expert tuition, ensemble rehearsals, and workshops led by professional musicians from the Australian Chamber Orchestra, The Australian Haydn Ensemble, Bach Akademie Australia and Penrith Symphony Orchestra.
