Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala shot dead in Mansa On Sunday, Shubdeep Singh Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi artist, and Congress leader, was fatally murdered near Mansa. The 27-year-old was shot at least ten times near a temple in the village of Jhawahar Ke and was certified dead at Mansa's Civil Hospital.

An unidentified assassin shot and killed famous Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala on Sunday in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the state government revoked his security cover.

Moosewala, 27, was traveling in a jeep with two pals when he was attacked in the village of Jawahar Ke, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mansa) Gobinder Singh.

Moosewala was brought dead to the civic hospital in Mansa, according to civil surgeon Ranjeet Rai. The two other people who were shot have been referred to a different hospital, he said.

In the recent assembly election, he ran on the Congress ticket from the Mansa assembly constituency but was beaten by AAP's Vijay Singla.

The Punjab Police withdrew security from 424 persons on Saturday, including Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, often known as Sidhu Moosewala.

The shooting of Moosewala elicited shock and outrage from Congress and other political leaders, who condemned the Aam Aadmi Party government for withdrawing his security cover.

No one implicated in the heinous crime would be spared, according to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who also asked for calm.

"The terrible murder of Siddhu Moosewala has shocked and grieved me. There will be no exceptions. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family and followers all across the world. In a tweet, Mann added, "I ask everyone to remain calm."

Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the Punjab Congress chairman who was instrumental in bringing Moosewala into the party, said he was "shocked beyond comprehension and expression" and urged that the Aam Aadmi Party government be dismissed.

"Just two days after the @BhagwantMann government withdrew his security, he was showered with gunfire in Mansa." The government of @AAPPunjab has lost its moral authority. In a tweet, Warring stated, "It must be discarded."

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who had previously questioned the state government when the names of those whose protection was revoked became public, has now urged action against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.

"We have been warning the Punjab government to pay attention to the situation in Punjab. I demand that Bhagwant Mann be charged with disregard for his Chief Ministerial duty, which resulted in the death of #sidhumoosewala. Bhagwant Mann and @ArvindKejriwal should be arrested under section 302," he said.

Amarinder Singh, the former chief minister of Punjab, has said that law and order have entirely crumbled in the state.

"Criminals are unconcerned about the law. Punjab's AAP administration has failed horribly. Punjab is a dangerous place!"

Former MLAs, two Jathedars of Takht Damdama Sahib and Takht Kesgarh Sahib, heads of Deras, and serving and retired policemen were among those whose security was lifted.

Last year, ahead of the Punjab assembly elections, Moosewala joined the Congress.

Several people had chastised the musician for using his songs to promote gun culture. He'd also been charged with encouraging violence with his song "Sanju."

After photos of him firing an AK-47 gun at a firing range during the COVID-19 lockdown surfaced on social media, he was arrested in Barnala under the Arms Act and the Disaster Management Act. Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, described Moosewala's death as "terrible" and promised that those responsible would face "the severe punishment."

The national convener of the AAP encouraged the public to keep the peace.

"The assassination of Sidhu Moosewala is both tragic and terrible. I just got off the phone with Punjab Chief Minister Mann sahib. Culprits will face the most severe

penalties. I implore everyone to stay strong and keep the peace. May God grant him rest in his soul "Kejriwal used Hindi in his tweets.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had tweeted about the incident, prompting Kejriwal's response.

Actors from the film and music industries in Mumbai expressed grief on Sunday at the unexpected death of the popular Punjabi singer, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Punjab's Mansa region.

Comedian Kapil Sharma paid tribute to him on Twitter, calling him a "great artist, a good human."

Himanshi Khurana, an actor, described herself as "speechless."
