World of Wellness
The HomePage News InSight™ Trend Index is an exclusive digital guide that explores emerging and enduring home and housewares trends through the products and innovations which embody them. InSight was developed in partnership with Springboard Futures and its founder, industry trend authority Tom Mirabile, who also serves as consumer and lifestyle trend strategist for the International Housewares Association and HomePage News . The Springboard team surveys major markets and trade shows in the U.S. and abroad to identify dominant home and housewares product and design trends such as color, pattern, material, form and function. In addition, the team evaluates the influences likely to affect the success and longevity of these trends, such as social, economic and consumer lifestyle shifts.
Each new portfolio of InSight will deliver unique cross-category presentations of energizing, innovative products, fresh perspectives from industry experts, plus exclusive new data to keep you in step with today’s consumers.
New InSight portfolios will be released on HomePageNews.com. Whenever possible, issue release dates will be guided by significant industry considerations such as major tradeshows and market events, as well as estimated product development, introduction, and delivery cycles for home industry suppliers and retailers.

Letter from the creators
Today, shifting demographics, rapid technological advancements and pressing global concerns—ranging from environmental sustainability to socio-political change—are fueling an unprecedented demand for innovation in home wellness categories. In response, the home industry is redefining the very essence of the home, transforming traditional functions into dynamic, interconnected systems that prioritize well-being.
This evolution has given rise to the Wellness Home—a living space designed not just to shelter, but to actively enhance the physical, emotional and nutritional health of its residents.
The role of home can no longer be encapsulated by static descriptors like cocoon, haven or fortress. Instead, the Wellness Home is an adaptive, elastic environment—seamlessly integrating smart technologies that allow it to shift between workplace, sanctuary and social hub. Each room now serves a greater purpose, tethered to a spectrum of health and wellness considerations through the products that define it.
These innovations underscore a crucial reality: wellness is no longer simply a task, it has become an aspirational, essential element of modern living. With this in mind, groundbreaking home and housewares solutions align into three key trends:
PHYSICAL
EMOTIONAL NUTRITIONAL WELLNESS WELLNESS WELLNESS
{Trend} PRIORITIZE PHYSICAL
Physical Wellness is a crucial component of overall well-being, directly influencing energy levels, mood and longevity. Broadly speaking, it refers to the overall condition of our bodies and how well they function.
PHYSICAL WELLNESS PILLARS:
EXERCISE
Regulate physical activity for a balanced focus on muscle strength, cardiovascular health and enhanced flexibility.
SLEEP
Ensure adequate rest to maintain optimal performance and enable physical recovery.
HYDRATION
Monitor water consumption to support digestion, circulation and overall bodily functions.
AWARENESS
Minimize exposure to environmental toxins and avoid harmful behaviors.
In a recent national survey, 50% of consumers cite Physical Wellness as the most challenging objective to achieve in everyday life.
Remarkably, this was the primary wellness concern across all generations.

Expert Perspectives
Q: Is Wellness an assortment opportunity for all retailers, or just certain sectors?
A: The market’s enthusiasm for Wellness has been significant across various sectors, suggesting a broad opportunity that goes beyond the obvious categories. However, it’s important to note that consumers interested in Wellness often value authenticity. Therefore, brands must ensure that any connection to Wellness is genuine, as a forced or insincere approach could negatively impact them.

Chromotherapy has been explored in various scientific studies, though it remains a debated topic in medical and psychological fields. Some research suggests that color exposure can help with stress reduction, anxiety, depression, pain management and other physical and emotional issues. Studies examining how color can affect our emotional states indicate that specific colors have calming effects, while others can stimulate alertness.1
Whether you believe that color has direct physiological effects or see its influence as a matter of taste or trend, its impact on our purchase decisions is undeniable.
From both perspectives, we present three color stories leading (and energizing) home style across global markets throughout 2025. We expect all three to influence assortments through Fall 2026.

Q: How is social media influencing consumer awareness and attitudes regarding wellness and healthful lifestyles?
Adrian Bredeson Co-Owner E-Power Marketing
A: Social media reshapes consumer attitudes by normalizing wellness as an achievable, desirable lifestyle. Through curated content, peer influence and aspirational storytelling, it shifts perceptions, making healthy habits feel attainable, even trendy. It’s not just about products, it’s about storytelling, education and community. Consumers view products not just as tools, but as lifestyle enhancers, supporting their wellness goals. Social platforms create the emotional and social context that turns interest into belief and belief into behavior.

Mind What Matters
Time, Space & Effort are the hurdles in a healthful home. The best intentions for better habits and a more wellness-focused lifestyle can get sidetracked by the simple realities of everyday life.
When we look for new ways to achieve those wellness goals,we look deeper than just the promised benefits of the product. We take into account the realistic challenges of available time, space, and energy in our daily lives, and aim to identify products that seamlessly integrate into our demanding schedules.
51% of consumers cited aftermeal cleanup as the most challenging of all household tasks.
Close behind: preparing daily family meals took second place with 49% selecting it as the most difficult.
Two of the most cited challenges to preparing food at home were: cleanup time & effort (41%) and meal & prep time (37%)
30% of survey respondents said lack of kitchen space made regular preparation of food and meals difficult.

Alex Gransbury Founder & CEO, Dreamfarm
A: At Dreamfarm, we believe our job is to design tools that inspire people to cook more, try new recipes and live their best healthy lives. All of our products are designed to solve problems—like reducing the amount of ultra-processed and packaged junk people eat! Whether it’s an apple slicer that’s so easy they eat an apple every day, a garlic press that cleans itself so they never buy it in a jar again or a fold flat juicer that makes fresh lemon juice a breeze. Q: How are wellness lifestyle trends influencing the design choices consumers and businessses are making today?
David Santiago Principal Designer, Casa Santi President, New York Chapter
International
A: Wellness lifestyle trends have certainly influenced how we work and live in spaces. I’m seeing commercial spaces evolving to include more functions. One example is a yoga studio with an office space and areas for community engagement. There is a sense of togetherness while sharing lifestyle practices across the board. Design that focuses on biophilia continues to attract consumers who want to feel more connected to nature.
