Dear Friends, Families, and Guests,
Welcome to Starlight and the opening of the 2023 AdventHealth Broadway Series! We are excited to share pivotal moments in history with you through this season’s shows. From biblical times told through rock music to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. From the iconic 1960s’s tunes of the Beatles to the emotions of the 1990s through the music of Alanis Morissette. And from the 21st century’s female empowerment movement to the perseverance of the human spirit in response to the events of 9/11, this Broadway season will take you on a journey through history.
And, what a historic moment this is, too.
I join you this season as the first woman to serve as President + C.E.O. in Starlight’s 70+ history. I’m looking forward to spending my 17th summer at Starlight, this time in a new role, and can’t wait to experience this season alongside you, Starlight’s wonderful supporters.
Being together for tonight’s performance is history in the making.
Thank you for supporting the theatre I love and our mission to connect our community through live arts experiences that entertain, inspire, and engage. If you haven’t already, I invite you to become a season ticket holder and spend more evenings with us this summer. Season ticket holders always get the best price, plus benefits like free premium parking, discounts on additional tickets, priority seating, and more. To learn more, visit our Ticket Office near Gate 3, find us online at kcstarlight.com, or call (816) 363-7827—and learn how you can put the cost of tonight’s ticket toward season tickets.
Thank you for choosing Starlight and for being a part of a Kansas City tradition of experiencing the excellence of Broadway under the stars.

New for this year — the Pops Series is now five concerts! Stage and screen star Audra McDonald kicks things off in September. Landmark Preservation Starlight is the oldest and largest continually operating performing arts organization in KC. Since 1992, $35 million has been privately invested in the city-owned theatre, which receives less than 2% of its annual revenue from public funding. THE IMPACT OF A GIFT No matter the size, your one-time gift makes an immediate impact. $15 $150 $25/mo $50/mo Promote arts accessibility by covering the cost of a free Broadway ticket through the Community Tickets program. Combine the healing power of the arts with the magic of Starlight by funding one local artist in a Just Imagine performance. Ensure the arts are accessible to all by supporting the cost of a sign language interpreter at a live event. Celebrate the achievements in local high school theatre by funding one of many scholarships awarded to students who engage with theatre both on and off the stage. Your monthly gift maximizes its impact over time

ALL-STARS
GUEST INFORMATION
Weather Policy
All events are held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, Starlight may delay a performance for an hour or more before deciding to cancel or continue. If a weather-related delay is needed, we will communicate updates via the public access system, event staff, and at twitter.com/kcstarlight.
On the rare occasion when Starlight is unable to present the majority of a show due to weather or other circumstances, guests may exchange their tickets at no charge for another performance of the same show. Season ticket holders always have this privilege, regardless of weather. The face value of the ticket will be applied to the new performance. To make an exchange, call Starlight Ticket Services at (816) 363-7827.
Security Screening Policy
To ensure the safety and security of our guests, Starlight reserves the right to inspect persons, parcels, or clothing capable of concealing or carrying prohibited items in the venue.
Photography
Use of professional photography equipment or recording devices (video, audio, or other medium) is prohibited to use during a performance without prior written consent. By attending a Starlight performance, guests give their consent to be photographed or recorded by talent, venue, or their contractors.
Smoking Areas
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the venue except the North Lawn and east of the Encore Deck. While Starlight recognizes that medical and recreational marihuana is legal, Starlight Theatre is private property and marijuana is prohibited.
Accessibility
Starlight is committed to making performances accessible to all guests. Accessible parking is available in the paved parking lot (near Gate 6). Stateissued disabled license plate or placard will allow guests entry to accessible parking as space allows.
Mobile Assistance Shuttles
Complimentary curb-to-curb shuttle service is provided to guests with mobility challenges. Starlight operates multi-passenger shuttles that have designated stops in both Zebra and Cheetah paved parking lots. Shuttles provide needed transport to and from Gate 8.

Lifesaving proton therapy is now in Kansas City.
A first for the region, the most advanced form of radiation treatment is now available at The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Delivering a precise beam of radiation directly into the tumor, proton therapy reduces side effects and limits damage to surrounding tissues. To learn if proton therapy is right for you, call our nurse navigator today at 888-770-1236 to schedule an evaluation or visit KUCancerCenter.org/ProtonKC
