The weather held up for our first Walk for Wellbeing on Sunday 16th October with more than 120 walkers joining forces to support our first event for Queensland Mental Health Week.

The walk commenced from Farnborough Beach with a short drink break at Ross Creek provided by Queensland Fire & Rescue. Walkers then continued on to Lammermoor Beach for a break and morning tea of fresh fruit and muffins served by our fabulous volunteers Darlene, Cathy & Ronnie.
Walkers then headed off on the final stretch to Kemp Hill where a BBQ was cooked by Adam and his helpers from Mr Perfect to feed the hungry walkers upon finishing. Many walkers sat and enjoyed the scenery of the Kemp Hill park while enjoying a sausage.
Feedback received from the Walk for Wellbeing was extremely positive. The walk will return in We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses and supporters who helped make the day the huge success that it was:

Bell Park Bakery Emu Park Meats Qld Fire & Rescue Service (Peter & Stuart) Mr Perfect Gather 4703 Coastal Picnics Co Hygge Yeppoon Positive Energy & Holistic Wellness Sonja Serfontein Diane Sully Katie Mitchell Joselyn Schick Leanne Smith
2023 and plans will get underway in the new year with the release of the dates for Mental Health Week. We will seek to source grant funding for the next event to help offset the cost to participants and increase participation by the local community.
