Introducing Sissy Mylrea from See Change Soulful Counselling and Hypnosis We are fortunate to have Sissy here on the coast with her array of helpful techniques and modalities to help one to move out of fear and anxiety into living a more purposeful life and knowing where we fit into this world.
Sissy’s love of the other world began when she was about 7 years old when she first realised that she could read tea leaves Since then she has gone on to explore many modalities and has helped many people over the years.
Soulful counselling, introspective hypnosis and more recently biofield tuning are the main modalities used in a session with Sissy Although she will draw on her vast experience of other modalities including NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Life Coaching to help her
clients to move through their blockages Working with clients from late teens and up, she helps them to clear up the blockages allowing them to make sense of the now and what the future may hold for them Her passion for Introspective Hypnosis was inspired by Alba Weinman who she first came across when watching a video by Delores Canon and led her to studying and training in this modality in New Zealand. Introspective hypnosis is a method that combines spirituality, Ericksonian hypnosis and dynamics of forgiveness for changes in behaviour and psychosomatic responses of relief in the client. Clients may also be able to access past lives and other forms of telepathy during a session A typical hypnosis session can last up to 3 hours. These sessions are recorded for the client to refer to at a later time.
Biofield Tuning is a unique, non medical therapeutic method that uses sound waves produced by tuning forks in the biomagnetic field, or biofield, that surrounds the human body. It is a simple
yet powerful method for shifting the rhythms and patterns of the body’s electrical system. A tuning fork gently supports the body in recognizing and correcting its own vibrational imbalances. It is simply a matter of the practitioner finding the noise and resistance in the biofield and staying with it until the body auto corrects It is a very simple and relaxing healing modality.
Sissy believes that we all have a window of tolerance and for each of that is different. Once we reach a point where our tolerance exceeds our capacity to deal with it, we can then start to experience illness in the body or feelings that are out of alignment with our natural state of being.
You can find Sissy on Facebook. Sessions can be booked via telephone. Sissy is an NDIS approved provider. She will also be speaking at the Livingstone Shire Council’s Wellness at the Coast event on Friday 14th October Come along and say ‘hi’ to her and have a chat about how she may be able to assist you on your healing journey.
The annual Wellness at the Coast Event run by Livingstone Shire Council in recognition of Queensland Mental Health Week is on Friday 14th October from 9am 2pm at the Yeppoon Town Hall. This is a free event and members of the public are encouraged to attend.
There will be a variety of speakers gracing the stage throughout the day sharing knowledge and information on a range of topics embracing the theme of awareness, belonging and connection. In addition, there will also be activities being held in Beaman Park, plus the chance to meet and mingle with local businesses and providers working within the mental health space with stalls upstairs at the Town Hall.
This year sees an evening event with Tibetan Musician Tenzin Choegyal performing at the Town Hall. Tickets are available for only $15 for adults, $10 for children. More details on the event can be found on the Wellness at the Coast Facebook Event
Have you seen the newest, cutest teal green coffee and dessert van Hygge operating outside of Coolwaters Discovery Park?
Allow me to introduce you to Lianna Smith, the owner and operator of Hygge, serving fantastic coffee and a wonderful array of Danish desserts
With a background in Retail Management and 8 years as the manager at Rockmans, Lianna has taken her passion for customer service, decadent food and Danish heritage to create Hygge. Hygge is a Danish word meaning cosiness and comfort that comes from doing simple things, something she believes that us Aussies are pretty good at incorporating into our style of life.
By Shanelle SchickWith a strong focus on being environmentally friendly and keeping waste to a minimum, Hygge have recently joined the Green Caffeen movement. How many times have you left your ‘Keep Cup’ at home when you ’ ve gone to get your daily caffeine hit? This takes away the stress of having to remember it and you can help reduce waste from traditional takeaway coffee cups.
Green Caffeen is a library style system helping to reduce waste into landfill. The way the program works is that you download the app, scan the code at Hygge, receive your coffee in a Green Cafeen cup and off you go You can either return the cup to Hygge next time you get a coffee or if you are travelling, exchange it at the next stop on your trip, making it a simple and easy process. T
The best thing of all is that it is absolutely free to go green. Currently in Yeppoon, There are several local businesses currently participating in the 'swap and go' system including Freedom Fast Cats, Honeybee Beach Side, Tropical Vibes GKI, The Alley, Yogolicious & Country Coffee CQ
Hygge operates Wednesdays to Sundays outside of the Coolwaters Discovery Park at Kinka Beach and is definitely worth your while stopping in there to try out their coffee and delectable desserts next time you are taking the coast road to Emu Park. Make sure you follow their Facebook page to keep up to date with what they’re up to!
Lianna has extended her waste consciousness to the straws and cutlery being used at Hygge, supporting Little Green Panda, an Australian company. Their straws are made from sugar cane and are completely compostable The best thing of all is that they don’t go soggy when you are half way through enjoying your ice cold drink! Their cutlery is made from coffee granules and is reusable.

Making the most of small pockets of time to bring more calmness into your days.
I had a moment free, and I went to grab my phone but decided to sit instead. Watch the people Just let my brain do its thing without being prompted
At my favourite café, I heard myself ordering a tea that when sipped feels like a long exhale instead of ordering my usual latte that ignites my nerves like a slow fuse that may burn into the night.
I had half an hour of time without the kids I chose to go for a beach walk and notice the soldier crabs. No phone. No photos. No changing into gym gear. Just the sound of powerful calming nature. Magnificently we are nature, not just part of it!!
You are a powerful spirit that is encoded with all you need. You are nature and you have you have the map to calm but it may be crinkled or lost.
1.Turn off the devices and be nature
2 Meditate or sit in the moments that are free, even five minutes
3.Do something creative
4.Breathe deeply and long exhales
I’m offering and demonstrating techniques that are simple and quick to create more calm at The Hub stand during Wellness on the Coast October 14th.

Can you get legally married without having a wedding? Can you have a wedding without getting legally married? The answer is YES on both counts
One of the things living with a pandemic has taught us is how many preconceived ideas we hold about getting married and what that is “supposed” to look like. While they are often used interchangeably in our modern world, the words “wedding” and “marriage” are in fact quite different in meaning Put simply, the word “marriage” refers to the actual long term relationship, while the word “wedding” refers to the celebration of two people uniting in marriage. An Aussie wedding typically lasts for a day, while a marriage is intended to last a lifetime A wedding also has several additional components aside from the marriage ceremony itself, including the reception, honeymoon, bridal shower, wedding parties, and more.
Still confused? Consider the statement “Their marriage was a disaster” The implication is that the couple was not happy in their life together and are probably now separated or divorced. However, the statement “Their wedding was a disaster“ implies that something happened during the wedding and that the ceremony or the reception did not go smoothly
The couple can go on to have a long and happy marriage even after a disastrous wedding.
In a nutshell The purpose of a marriage is to create a legally recognised relationship The purpose of a wedding is to celebrate a marriage
Placing the unpredictability of COVID restrictions aside, there are many other reasons a couple may choose to separate the two events, or even opt to have one or the other but not both. Delays with paperwork being received or lodged, changes to immigration timelines, unexpected new additions to the family, sudden illness in the family; if you think about what your own priorities are, you’ll soon work out what is going to work for you. It may be very important to you that your marriage takes place and is celebrated with a wedding on the same day But there’s always the option of having the marriage take place now and then holding the wedding to celebrate when your life gets back to normal. Or having the
wedding celebration now and following up with the legal marriage when the legal requirements have been met
In Australia there are certain legal requirements which must be adhered to for a marriage to be legally recognised, you celebrant will be able to explain these in detail. But there are no legal requirements attached to a wedding.
You can hold your wedding on the same day as your marriage takes place, or anytime afterwards, or even beforehand if you want. Often the celebration will include a commitment or a betrothal ceremony, in place of the legal marriage ceremony.
You’ll find heaps of ideas to help you with your plans on the resources page of my website www leannesmith com au
You can hold your wedding on the same day as your marriage takes place, or anytime afterwards
Do you eat on the run, in front of the computer at work, with your phone in your hand or behind the wheel? Don't worry, we are all guilty of doing this at some point, but it may be having a HUGE impact in your gut function and symptoms!
Today's fast paced lifestyle has driven us to multi task or have no time to sit down and enjoy a meal. All this rushing around can be perceived as a stressor on our body, which triggers a "fight or flight" response. This response causes an increased production of stress hormones which suppresses our gut function and reduces our body's ability to breakdown, digest and absorb nutrients This can lead to symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramps and pain, gas, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, headaches and more
Sit down in a quiet place (if possible) and put away or switch off any distractions e.g. computer, phone, TV, etc.
If you're feeling stressed or anxious, take 3 deep belly breaths before enjoying a meal. Eat slowly and chew every mouthful well before swallowing.
Try not to inhale your food Pause in between mouthfuls and focus on the tastes and textures of the food
If possible, try to minimise liquids 15 30 minutes either side of your meals If needed, just sip on your drink rather than drinking large quantities throughout the meal.
Learn to understand your fullness signals. Eat until you're satisfied and not stuffed. It can take up to 20 minutes for your gut to communicate to your brain when you're full.
Although it seems hard sometimes, conscious consumption of food can encourage the production of digestive enzymes, and improve nutrient breakdown and absorption, and can therefore reduce those pesky uncomfortable digestive symptoms post meal.
Your monthly guide to what's happening in the astrological world
October 10th at 6:45am AEST The full moon will occur in the sign of Aries
With the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries this Full moon highlights the polarity around relationships! The Sun in Libra is all about our relationship with the ‘other’, compromise, balance and harmony The Moon in Aries in more about our relationship with ourselves. Our self assertion and independence within our relationships.
Relationships are not just about the intimate ones with our partners/lovers but also friends/family and colleagues
Aries is a fire sign, full of passion, courage and leadership, this full moon may have you feeling a little more assertive or reactive than usual.
With relationships being the focus during this time, take some time to reflect on who you are within your relationships? Who do you want to be?
By Heidi Reeves Sol Rising AstrologyThe Full Moon is about balancing the energy of both the sun and the moon signs, so Libra and Aries.
Is there an area you have been neglecting your own needs for the sake of harmony and you need to be more assertive and independent?
Or maybe you are incredibly independent and need to focus on softening and compromise with others?
Take some time to dive inwards and see what comes up for you, write it down and then let it go
With the moon in a fire sign, burning the written words (safely) would be appropriate here.
Cardinal signs may feel this one the most intensely, the with their sun/moon or rising signs in Aries/Libra/cancer and Capricorn
As a new moon, it will all about new beginnings around these topics.
October 25th at 8:48pm AEST the New Moon will occur in 1 degree of Scorpio accompanied by a partial solar eclipse at 9:01pm
Ahh Eclipse season shines again! This partial solar eclipse will intensify the already intense energy of this Scorpio New moon
Scorpio doesn’t play around on the surface of things, they need to dive deep, to get to the bottom of things and feel things deeply in order to transform and evolve
This New moon will call for deeper emotional exchanges with people, shallow relationships will no longer cut it!
This energy is can help us really connect with our inner most desires and feelings and what it is we really need in this life, who it is we really want to be
Matters related to intimacy, power, control and money could be a focus during this lunation
Overall the energy of this New moon and eclipse can help guide us through our own self mastery, to explore ourselves on a deeper more intimate level to learn what we want to manifest in the future.
The energy of this eclipse may have us acting more impulsively so pay close attention to whether you are REACTING or RESPONDING to situations.
There is a chance to make important changes to move towards the values and future you desire, so lean in
The fixed signs will feel this one the most intensely, those with Sun/moon/rising or strong placements in Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius and Leo.
