My name’s Ray and live with my parents in Seattle, in the USA. My dad’s a doctor and my mum’s a manager of a shop. I sometimes help my mother at the weekends. I have a brother. Peter, and a sister, Jeanette. Peter’s an actor — My parents and I sometimes see Peter on TV — and Jeanette’s at university. Peter and Jeanette both live in California so my parents and I don’t see Peter and Jeanette very often, but Peter and Jeanette always come to visit my parents and I on Thanksgiving every year.

Thanksgiving is a very important holiday in the USA. Thanksgiving is always on the fourth Thursday in November and people usually go home to be with their families. In the evening my parents, Peter, Jeanette and I all have a big traditional meal with turkey, corn, sweet potatoes — and pumpkin pie, of course.
