Chambers County Assistant Auditor Arrested
By Wade Thibodeaux  The Hometown Press has received information and Chambers County arrest records have
confirmed that Chambers County Assistant Auditor Michael Manders was arrested on a felony count of online solicitation of a minor. Manders was arrested on November 19, 2020 and has since posted bail and was released from custody. The Hometown Press has submitted public information request to ascertain
the employment status of Mr. Manders, but those have simply been met with replies of " Chambers County does not comment on personnel matters related to employees, especially those that involve active investigations by law enforcement agencies". Calls to the Chambers County Attorney's Office have not been returned
as of press time and other contacts within the County have been reluctant to comment if they have even responded to The Hometown Press's request for information. The Hometown Press will continue to monitor this situation and will report whenever additional information is available.
