Aspire event emphasises recycling

Waste Solutions was invited to participate in the recent KBR Aspire Zero Harm engagement week held across four MoD garrisons at Tidworth, Aldershot, Larkhill and Warminster. Simon Coombes, Service Manager, Charles Munro, Service Co-ordinator and Erik MacGilp, Operations Manager represented Waste Solutions and manned the exhibition stands.

The purpose of the events was to engage with military personnel alongside staff from other service providers to explain the importance of recycling across the contract and at home, and promote the achievement of zero waste to landfill. Around 2,000 people attended the events with 98% of attendees providing feedback to say it was beneficial. Erik MacGilp said: “We are committed to providing an excellent service and adding value back to the customer and this type of event provides us with a great opportunity to engage with them. Improving recycling rates has been key to achieving zero waste to landfill for core waste across the Aspire contract.”
