GLOWING SUMMER SKIN
Let’s be real, we ’ ve all been waiting for summer 2023 to enjoy the good weather, travel and live our best lives and achieving glowing summer skin is a high priority on the summer prep list Beauty aesthetician Princess Ncube aka the @thefacialqueenn gives us her best tips for glowing summer skin
There is nothing better than glowing skin in summer Your skin must be fed with healthy foods that contain valuable nutrients that will give your black skin a luxurious and radiant look. Just like other skin, black women & men must strive to maintain the glow in their skin but this does not happen overnight or come with wishful thinking. Neither does it come by using products here and there but rather, as a result of following a consistent skincare regime every day
Exfoliate Regularly
When you exfoliate your skin, you remove dead skin cells and give space for glowing skin to flourish Exfoliation also helps even out your skin tone and reduces wrinkles Exfoliating allows products to penetrate into the skin so they can work to full effect
Protect your skin
Ultraviolet rays are bad for your skin In fact, they can be extremely damaging You must always protect your silky black skin from the sun by using products with SPF or sunscreen. Make sure to indulge in sunscreen to avoid sunburn as this will result in the opposite of glowing skin
Drink water
Hydration will help flush your body of toxins, keep your skin moist and reactivate your skin’s tissue resulting in glowing, fresh and soft skin Make sure to stay well hydrated and try to drink seven glasses of water everyday

Wash your face
Washing your face both morning and night is a big step towards glowing and radiant skin This helps unclog pores and removes the grime that becomes stored in your pores during the day. This is a great way to give your skin room to breathe before bed time. Avoid washing with hot water as this will make the skin lack natural oils use warm water instead
Invest in essential oils
After washing your face you must always moisturise
Lubricating your skin with oils such as avocado oil, jojoba oil or coconut oil will help maintain a nice shiny, glossy surface on the skin. You can apply the oils directly on to the skin or include them as part of your skincare regimen.

Invest in a facial
Everyone can benefit from a good facial, especially my brown skin women & men. We tend to have more hyperpigmentation and scarring and that is why us aestheticians recommend micro needling or chemical peels as they are more effective than basic facials for darker skin Don’t forget these key points Firstly, find a facialist that understands melanin and how sensitive brown skin is. Secondly, make sure they use good quality products That is why we tend to work with organic and natural products, as they are less harsh on the skin and give better results
