Sanbra Fyffe has appointed Alan Hogan to the role of Managing Director. Alan will oversee the company’s operations & provide strategic guidance to ensure that they continue to achieve their missions and objectives. Alan is no stranger to the plumbing & heating industry, his career first kicked off 27 years ago with Hevac working in sales, and most recently as Managing Director with Heat Merchants Group. Announcing the appointment, Martin Murphy, Director of Sanbra Fyffe, said “We are delighted to welcome Alan to the Sanbra Group and in particular to Sanbra Fyffe. He brings a wealth of industry experience & knowledge and we look forward to working with him.” Home to the iconic Instantor® brand, Sanbra is a manufacturer and one of Ireland’s largest wholesale distributors of superior plumbing products and heating supplies to the builders merchants trade. Established in 1934, Sanbra Fyffe has over 85 years’ experience in the industry and is renowned for a quality product and service. United Hardware Limited (UHL), has announced the appointment of Eoin McGettigan as its new Non-Executive Chairman. UHL has a network of over 150 DIY, homeware, garden, and builders’ merchant stores with combined annual retail sales in excess of ¤450 million and 2,000 employees. Eoin will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an ambitious new business strategy aimed at growing the Group’s nationwide footprint, strengthening its market positioning, and improving operational efficiencies. Eoin is currently the CEO of Cork Port and has over 30 years’ retail experience, having previously held Executive Director roles with some of Ireland’s leading companies including Musgrave, Dunnes Stores, and Lifestyle Sports, he was also previously CEO of The Coop group in the UK. Commenting on the announcement, Paul Candon, CEO, United Hardware, said, “We are delighted to have appointed a Chairman of Eoin’s calibre and experience to United Hardware and I look forward to working closely with him to grow the business.
