Telecommunications roadshow comes to Bingara

Gwydir Shire residents are invited to attend a Telecommunications Roadshow with information sessions with Telstra, Optus, NBN, the Regional Tech Hub, and the National Emergency Management Agency.

The event will be held at the Living Classroom, Bingara on Monday 24th July. From 10am – 12pm, representatives from Telstra, NBN Co and the Regional Tech Hub will provide presentations, conduct an open forum and hold a Q + A session. An opportunity to engage one-on-one with Telcos, undertake a health check and to engage with rural support services will be available from 12pm – 2pm.

The Telecommunications Roadshow has been created off the back of flood events in our region, and aims to inform and support people around what connectivity options are available to them to improve their community’s capacity, capability, and connectivity resilience though their telecommunication and connectivity options.

The Roadshow will also provide a great opportunity to learn about 3G closure, cyber security and disaster preparation. Telcos will explain how the network is impacted by disaster, the technology that is utilised
