Black Cow Vodka is the World’s Smoothest Vodka, made purely from the milk of grass-grazed cows and nothing else. Fresh whole milk makes exceptionally smooth vodka with a unique creamy character.

Founders Jason and Archie were sitting at Jason’s kitchen table discussing local alcohol production over a glass of eau de vie when Jason’s Polish friend Jozef (who knows about this sort of thing) popped in and was given a sample. He sipped and wrinkled his nose “you know you can make good drink from milk” he said - at which point they looked out of the window to see Jason’s 250-strong dairy herd staring back at them. THE COTSWOLD DISTILLING COMPANY

The Cotswolds Distillery was founded in 2014 by Dan Szor, a native New Yorker. Dan had been working in finance in London and spending his weekends with his family in the Cotswolds. A dedicated whisky fan, Dan saw the fields of golden barley around his house in the Cotswolds and had a brainwave “I suddenly thought, there’s barley all over the Cotswolds and nobody’s distilling it, let’s be the first!” Production began in September 2014 and just a few months after the distillery was commissioned.

RENEGADE AND LONGTON

It all started with an idea to make a sparkling wine with a traditional recipe using only elderflowers gathered on the Isle of Skye. They began experimenting with the process and recipes to see what else could be made without using grapes, which led to making their first products, a sparkling elderflower and an elderflower blush (rhubarb, strawberries and blackberries added at the fermentation stage). They are currently made in Hastings, but their Scottish roots have never been forgotten.

THE SALFORD RUM COMPANY

The Salford Rum Company launched in August 2018 by Salfordians Tommy Gaughan and James Harrison.

Having seen the rise of craft gin and being more partial themselves to spiced rum, they spotted a gap in the market for a premium, small-batch spiced rum.

Through their research, they discovered the strong links between their hometown of Salford and the rum and spice imports into the local docks, from the Caribbean during Salford’s industrial heyday. Their spiced rum recipe is inspired by these imports.

Since 1571, when William Slingsby discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from the Tewit Well in Harrogate he epitomised the spirit of Harrogate and they are proud that their gins bear his name. Bored of working in the city, Chief Juicer Natasha started to forage for ingredients in her allotment and turn them into naturally delicious cordials.
