The third and last platform is the play platform, where unconventional swings and climbing frames promise hours of fun, especially for little ones.
Munkebo Multipark is an eldorado of fun activities for children and adults alike. It offers ample opportunities for laughter and breaking into a sweat, if you want to do more than just enjoy nature and the fresh air. A group of Munkebo residents came up with this brilliant idea a couple of years ago, when they took the initiative to convert a large area of unused woodland, grass and scrub. The area bordered the playing fields of Idrætscenteret, making it the obvious place for activity and outdoor recreation. The idea was to run a path through the area, leading visitors from one activity to another if they are not content just to run or walk and enjoy watching others. Among other attractions, the multipark has three activity platforms, each with its own features. The first and most eye-catching activity is the skate and scooter park, the biggest and best of its kind on Funen. With ramps, bumps and twists, the park offers innumerable challenges for skaters and scooter riders, and for the most talented, there are ample opportunities to perform impressive gravity-defying moves. The open-air platform will appeal to anyone who enjoys life under the open sky, night and day. There are three shelters positioned around a bonfire ring, which can be used by anyone wishing to sleep under the stars. The open-air area is situated in the middle of the woods, close to a lake, and when the fire is lit, and the night sky is black, you’ll find it hard to believe that you are actually in the middle of a town, close to major commercial businesses.
The platforms are linked by the 1.6 km path that runs through the entire park with open grassed areas, woodland and scrub. In 2017, one of Denmark’s few disc golf courses was constructed here, where you play with discs – plastic plates that are thrown at the goals in the form of special baskets. As with traditional golf, the course is divided into a number of “holes”, just with baskets. The disc has to end up in the basket rather than a hole. The advantage of this sport is that everybody can play. It is not difficult to throw the discs, though naturally the most talented will find it particularly easy to get them into the basket at the end of each course. In the canteen at Idrætscenteret, you can borrow a map of the disc golf course, game rules and a bag of discs. A deposit is payable, which you get back when you return the materials. Like everything else at the Multipark, there is no charge to play disc golf.
Der Munkebo Multipark ist ein Aktivitäten-Eldorado für Kinder und Erwachsene. Hier gibt es reichlich Möglichkeiten für Spaß und Schweiß auf der Stirn – es sei denn, man möchte einfach nur die Natur und die frische Luft genießen. Eine Gruppe von Bürgern aus Munkebo ergriff vor ein paar Jahren die Initiative, ein großes ungenutztes Areal mit Wald, Gras und Gebüsch in den Park umzuwandeln. Da das Gelände unmittelbar an die Sportplätze des Sportzentrums grenzte, lag es nahe, den Schwerpunkt auf Outdoor-Aktivitäten zu legen. Aus der Idee wurde ein Pfad durch das Gelände, der die Besucher von Aktivität zu Aktivität führt. Natürlich kann man auch einfach nur laufen, spazieren gehen oder anderen bei ihrer körperlichen Entfaltung zuschauen. Der Multipark umfasst u. a. drei Aktivitätsplattformen mit jeweils eigenem Charakter. Die erste und auffälligste Aktivität ist die Skateboard- und Scooter-Bahn, die größte und beste ihrer Art auf Fünen. Mit Bodenwellen, Rampen und Windungen bietet die Bahn eine Fülle von Herausforderungen für Skater oder Scooter. Die Besten können tolle Stunts ausführen und die Schwerkraft für einen Moment überwinden. Die Outdoor-Plattform spricht alle an, die
das Leben Tag und Nacht unter freiem Himmel genießen. Rund um die Feuerstelle liegen drei Shelterhütten, die alle, die gerne im Freien übernachten, nutzen können. Das Freiluftgelände des Multiparks liegt mitten im Wald in der Nähe eines Sees, und am Lagerfeuer im Dunklen vergisst man schnell, dass man sich mitten in einem Ort und unweit großer Firmen befindet. Die dritte und letzte Plattform ist die Spielplattform, wo insbesondere die Kleinsten tolle Stunden mit unkonventionellen Schaukeln und Klettergerüsten verbringen können. Die Plattformen werden durch einen 1,6 km langen Pfad verbunden, der durch den gesamten Multipark mit Rasenflächen, Wald und Gebüsch führt. Hier wurde 2017 einer der wenigen Discgolf-Plätze Dänemarks angelegt. Beim Discgolf geht es darum, mit einem Frisbee mit möglichst wenigen Würfen spezielle Körbe zu treffen. Wie beim Golf ist der Platz in mehrere Löcher unterteilt, wobei es sich hier jedoch um Körbe handelt, die getroffen werden müssen. Der Sport bietet den großen Vorteil, dass jeder mitmachen kann. Es ist nicht schwer, ein Frisbee zu werfen, wobei es den Besten natürlich leichter fällt, die Körbe am Ende jeder Bahn zu treffen. In der Kantine des Sportzentrums kann man eine Karte über die Anlage, die Spielregeln und eine Tüte mit Frisbees leihen. Die dabei fällige Kaution erhält man bei Rückgabe der geliehenen Gegenstände wieder zurück. Die Benutzung des Discgolf-Platzes ist nämlich kostenlos, so wie alle anderen Aktivitäten des Multiparks auch.
