Leading with Equity. Learning Together. Changing the Sector.
WHO WE ARE TFN is a robust network of +130 foundations, including place-based and community foundations as well as state, regional and national funders. We leverage philanthropy’s unique potential to help create communities and regions that are sustainable, prosperous, healthy and just for all people.
CONNECTING PEOPLE AND PLACE
From small, rural community organizations to large urban foundations, our members reflect a broad spectrum of place-based philanthropic work.
MEETING THE MOMENT: SEVEN KEY STRATEGIES
PUTTING EQUITY FIRST We believe that structural racism, inequity, and other social disparities are the root cause of our environmental and economic challenges. TFN's commitment to racial equity is foundational and cross-cutting. Our Racial Equity Action Plan is a key pillar of our Strategic Framework. WHAT WE DO
Center Racial Equity We recognize the need to question, challenge and confront the systemic racial inequities and injustices that exist as the root causes of our environmental and economic challenges.
Focus on Community We focus on community-driven solutions and amplify the expertise and experiences of those communities who are least heard.
Develop Leaders We offer leadership development opportunities for funders looking to deepen their impact and expand their professional networks.
Connect Changemakers We facilitate issue-focused and place-based working groups, learning cohorts and communities of practice for funders to share best practices, align strategies and identify opportunities for collaboration.
