He works alongside Executive Artistic Producer Marc Robin to cast actors from New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Lancaster, and beyond. He’s also a frequent Fulton performer, and was most recently seen as Bob Crewe in last season’s Jersey Boys. Thanks to Mark, David, Ben and Marc for the collaboration on this and love always to Jeff, Piper and Jackson. @joeytumble
JOSH ALLAMON (Sound Designer) is the Sound Director at the Fulton Theatre and is excited to be jumping back into the Sound Design role for Grease. Since joining the Fulton in 2019, he has designed and mixed a variety of productions with favorites including Titanic, Murder on the Orient Express, Fun Home, and The Sound of Music as Designer, and Once, Kinky Boots, and The Wiz as the A1.
ELSPETH BUSTARD (Assistant Stage Manager) is grateful to be working with the Fulton Theatre. She began working here on the 2022 production of The Sound of Music. Other Fulton credits include Sweat, 5 Guys Named Moe, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, and The Wiz. Before that, Elspeth worked for Servant Stage, Veritas Theater, and the Lancaster Academy for the Performing Arts. SDG
WARREN CASEY (Book, Music, and Lyrics) was born in Yonkers, New York, and attended Syracuse University. During the late ‘50s, he learned all about “greasers” while working as an art teacher in upstate New York. He moved to Chicago in 1962, where he hoped to pursue an acting career. He appeared in dozens of productions, including creating the role of Bernie Litko in David Mamet’s Sexual Perversity in Chicago. He supported himself with jobs in retail, including working as an assistant manager of a chain of apparel stores, and as a record salesman. In the meantime, he taught himself how to play the guitar and began writing songs. Mr. Casey acted with the Chicago Stage Guild (where he met Jim Jacobs), the Old Town Players, and the Kinston Mines Theatre. The latter company staged the original production of Grease, which he wrote with Jim Jacobs. After the incredible success of both the musical and the movie, the two collaborated on Island of Lost Coeds, a musical satire of the B-movies of the 1950s. Mr. Casey died in 1988.
MATT DEMASCOLO (Lighting Designer) is excited to be returning to the historic Fulton Theatre for this production of Grease. Past Fulton credits include Elf, Always, Patsy Cline and Million Dollar Quartet. Matt has also been designing at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia where his credits include Beehive, Always, Patsy Cline, Cinderella and Escape to Margarettaville. Matt recenetly provided design services for the Gulfshore Playhouse 2023 Gala in Naples, Florida.
BETH DUNKELBERGER (Costume Coordinator) is a Lancaster native who has been priveleged to provide costumes for many local and regional theaters. Most recent productions have included A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and Into the Woods, as well as Fulton productions of Changing Channels, Jersey Boys, White Christmas, and Doubt.
WHO’S WHO PRODUCTION
JIM JACOBS (Book, Music, and Lyrics) Jim Jacobs, who created Grease (in 1970) with Warren Casey, was born and raised on the mean streets of Chicago’s far northwest side. During the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll (1956-1960) he was a guitarplaying “greaser” student at Taft High School. In 1963, Jacobs met Warren Casey when they were both cast in a local theatre production of A Shot in the Dark. Seven years later they wrote what was to become one of the greatest musicals of all time. Grease opened in 1971 in a former trolley barn called the Kingston Mines Theatre in Chicago. A year later, Grease made it to Broadway and “Greasemania” took off, resulting in one of the longest running shows in Broadway history. The 1978 movie became and remains the highest-grossing movie musical of all time. Originally an actor, Jacobs has been seen on television, in motion pictures, regional theatre, national tours, and on Broadway. He is the co-author of several other plays and musicals including Island of Lost Coeds, a musical spoof of the low budget sci-fi/ horror/jungle movies of the 1950s, which he wrote with Warren Casey. In May 2014, Mr. Jacobs was presented with an honorary doctorate degree from Columbia College in Chicago. He currently resides in Southern California and remains active in the theatre, especially with the American Theatre Company of Chicago.
CHARLES S. KADING (Scenic Designer) Recent design credits include Elf, The Color Purple, Evita, Mamma Mia, American in Paris, Newsies, Hello Dolly, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Noises Off, Kiss Me Kate, and Sophisticated Ladies. Other credits include scenic designs for Houston’s Alley Theatre, including the U.S. premiere of Alan Ayckbourn’s Henceforward, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Maine State Music Theatre, Fort Worth’s Shakespeare in the Park, and Casa Mañana, Portland Stage Company, Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Second Stage, Intiman Theatre and Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre.
ANTHONY M. LASCOSKIE, JR (Wig Designer) Anthony joined the Fulton Theatre 22 seasons ago, Locally, Anthony has enjoyed designing for EPAC, Theatre of the 7th Sister, Hempfield Dance Theatre, and Ephrata & Garden Spot High Schools. Nationally, Anthony’s designs have been seen at the Riverside Theater, Playhouse on the Square, and Walnut Street Theatre. Favorite shows include In the Heights, Into the Woods and The Rocky Horror Show. Favorite Hair Designs include Taffetas, Wizard of Oz, and 42nd Street.
TIMOTHY MARKUS (Production Stage Manager) 14th Season! Favorites include 5 Guys Named Moe, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, In the Heights, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, And then there were None, and Miss Saigon. He’s toured nationally with Mary Poppins and internationally with Porgy and Bess. He’s also worked with the Public Theater, the Guthrie Theater, and the Milwaukee Rep. During the pandemic he acted as a logistics lead for mass vaccination sites. Proud dog dad to a mutt named Waffle!

PROTON THERAPY INSPIRING HOPE FOR CANCER PATIENTS
The only proton therapy center in Central PA is at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
As part of our ongoing commitment to bring advanced medicine to the Lancaster community, we are excited to now offer this life-saving treatment to cancer patients close to home. Proton therapy uses a precise beam of powerful energy to attack only the cancer cells, not healthy tissue. This may result in fewer side effects and a better quality of life during treatments. From our renowned team of experts to the latest technologies and advanced treatment options, our center is unmatched at bringing comprehensive cancer care to our area.
