JAYNE DEELY (Playwright - unqle play) they/them, queer latiné writer from Queens NY. Has developed work with KCACTF at the Kennedy Center, American Stage, the New Harmony Writers’ Conference, Renaissance Theatreworks, among others. Twotime winner of the Latinx Playwriting Award with KCACTF, Dist. Achievement for the Paula Vogel Award, repeat semi-finalist for the O’Neill and BAPF, recent finalist for the Mazumdar Award at the Alley Theatre. MFA Playwriting, IUB. BA, Fordham Univ. JOHN MABEY (Playwright - Impossible Theories of Us) (they/he) has been produced in 7 countries and throughout the USA. Their plays and articles explore sexual identity and spirituality across the lifespan. Recent honors include the ‘Panowski Playwriting Award,’ ‘Essential Theatre Playwriting Award,’ and ‘Getchell New Play Award’ and published in the ‘Best 10-Minute Plays,’ ‘Best Women’s Monologues,’ and ‘Best Men’s Monologues.’ They enjoy teaching and performing improvisation and storytelling around the world. https://mabeyplays.com/

GERMAINE SHAMES (Playwright - Sweet Spot) a Kilroys List playwright and recipient of her state’s Literary Fellowship in Fiction, is author of the award-winning novels, Between Two Deserts and You, Fascinating You. Writing under the pen name Casper Silk (Hotel Noir, Echo Year), she has been compared to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Graham Greene, and P.D. James “on steroids”. Over the past half dozen years, her plays, musicals and operas have premiered in such cities as NYC, London, Chicago and LA. It’s all about love.

ANDREW BORTHWICK-LESLIE (Director - unqle play) (he/him) is a member of Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, MA, where he has taught, directed, and acted for twenty years. He has taught at the Univ. of Pennsylvania, Temple Univ, and Emerson College among others. He is a cofounder of the Humanist Project in NYC. Recent directing: Unqle Play (Indiana Univ.); Macbeth (the Humanist Project); Pinocchio, Double Falsehood (Letter of Marque); Love’s Labour’s Lost, Merchant of Venice (Shakespeare Forum). LYAM B. GABEL (Cultural Consultant, Director - Impossible Theories of Us) (they/he) is a trans* performance-maker and community archivist. ZUHAIRAH MCGILL (Director - Sweet Spot) is the Recipient of the 2023 Lunt-Fontanne Award, where she worked with Broadway Tony Award winning director Jerry Zaks. She originally hails from Brooklyn, New York and has worked and studied with Woodie King Jr, Colman Domingo, Steve Broadnax III, Terry Nolan, Walter Dallas, Uta Hagen, Ossie Davis. She is the Founder and Producing Artistic Director of First World Theatre where they are in residence at The Arden Theatre.

KIA ARMSTRONG (Stage Manager - unqle play) she/they. Kia is thrilled to be here, stage managing for the Fulton Festival of New Works. From spot op to choreographer, performer to director, Kia’s dipped her toes into everything the Theatre has to offer. Working at Hale Centre Theatre, West Valley Performing Arts, and The Viva La Diva Show, in her home state of Utah, she developed her passion for stage management. Kia just finished her first show, with The Fulton, running automation for “Grease” and is excited for another adventure here. xoxo My People!

PRESTON CUER (Production Stage Manager - Impossible Theories of Us) (he/him) has been involved at the Fulton since 2016. Stage Manager credits include Fulton’s TYA series for the 2022-23 season. Fight Choreography credits include Man of La Mancha, Kinky Boots, Treasure Island. Actor credits include Treasure Island, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Disney’s Newsies.

JOANNA UNDERHILL (Stage Manager - Sweet Spot) Joanna is happy to return to the Festival of New Works: Stories of Diversity after working as a stage manager for the inaugural festival in 2021.

TODD SNOVEL (Emcee) (he, him, his), is passionate about contributing to community arts, education, and healthcare. A proud member of the Fulton’s Education and Outreach Committee, he also chairs the Keystone Business Alliance board, Central PA’s LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and has recently launched the LGBTQ+ Giving Circle through the Lancaster County Community Foundation. Todd teaches college courses and has led workshops on issues of equity and inclusion for organizations and professional conferences.

RITA CLARKE (Stage Directions - Sweet Spot) Rita is a freelance storyteller and actor who has performed in local productions, with the Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Theater for Transformation, Creative Works of Lancaster, Theater of the Seventh Sister and the Erie Theater Company, and at various events throughout Lancaster County. She is grateful for the opportunity to work again with such talented people here at the Fulton.

GRACE GONGLEWSKI (Angela (older) - Sweet Spot) Grace Gonglewski (pronounced gone-GLEF-ski) Off-Broadway: The Flea, The Guys with Tom Wopat, director Tommy Kail. Regional: Arden Theatre, Walnut Street, Cape Cod Playhouse, Delaware Theatre Company, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Wilma Theatre and a tour of Ireland with Interact. Grace won four Barrymores, The F. Otto Haas Award and a BFA from North Carolina School of the Arts. She’s the voice of many casinos, hospitals and politicians around the country.

MORGAN CHARÉCE HALL (Young Althea/Sports Journalist - Sweet Spot) Morgan Charéce is elated to make her Fulton Theatre debut at the Festival for New Works!As a multidisciplinary artist who finds joy in the process of being a creative doula, Morgan is beyond grateful to Mama Z, her castmates and Fulton Theatre for this experience. ABIGAIL ISOM (Young Angela - Sweet Spot) Abigail is thrilled to be returning to the Fulton! She’s been seen by Fulton audiences as Sister James in Doubt, Medium Alison in Fun Home, and Natalie in Next to Normal. ANDREW KINDIG (Sportscaster/ Waiter - Sweet Spot) Andrew is honored to be back at the Fulton, and to be a part of the New Works festival. A Lancaster native, he has been in over 50 shows at the Fulton, and directed 11 shows. Some favorites include: Disgraced (Isaac), The Producers (Leo Bloom), Murder on the Orient Express (Bouc), Sherlock Holmes (Dr. Watson), The Play that Goes Wrong (Jonathan), Wait Until Dark (Director). He was seen this season in The Play That Goes Wrong, Shear Madness, The Wizard of Oz , and Ragtime: In Concert. ROBERT GERARD ANDERSON (Uncle - unqle play) Founding member of Struan Leslie’s 21st Century Chorus, a UK-based theater collective. Recent Film: Kill Your Darlings, a Los Angeles queer screenwriters group (acting cohort), MondoHollywoodland (Amazon Prime), Final Summer (release 2024) Theater; Utah, Chicago, Idaho, Illinois, Arkansas, and Baltimore Shakespeare Festivals, The Rep (Delaware), among others.
