They launched the media forum with ‘Hinun-anon’ as the program name - an Akeanon word which means “gathering”. Hinun-anon is a program that aims to tackle specific topics that are timely and relevant for the purpose of service and enlightenment of the viewers, especially the youth as the target audience. The program is managed by NVC AB Department Governor, Ms. Luz Mary Paderes-Rufon and her officers; their advisers, Ms. Angelie Custodio and Mr. Walter Toriano together with Ms. Janica Dela Pena. The telecast was hosted by Mr. Edwin Ramos together with the NVC alumni, Ms. Richie Oloroso and Ms. Carla Doromal as the host. The first episode centralized on the topic, Voters’ Education, which was discussed by Mr. Chrispin Raymund Gerardo, an election officer from PIO-COMELEC Aklan being the Resource Person. Aside from the information given by Mr. Gerardo, he also answered the questions raised by the AB students and from the viewers via Facebook live. One of those is the concern regarding the registered voters of Sangguniang Kabataan or also known as SK. Mr. Gerardo said that registered voters of SK are automatically included in the official list of voters that are allowed to vote for the National Elections, too. These voters don’t need to make another registration. He also explained the subject of the deactivation of any registration for the elections of individuals that have not voted for two (2) consecutive elections. This is to ensure that the voters shall be responsible to re-register in the system in order for them to exercise their right to vote. The live telecast was made possible through a Zoom meeting, and broadcasted on the official page of NVC Bachelor of Arts in Communication and in English, Kalibo Cable TV (KCTV) and Aklan Cable TV (ACTV). Hinun-anon will have a live telecast twice a month starting this October.
