I Will Be Working Toward My Goal by Elisa Vittori '22

I will be working towards my goal Of become a preschool and kindergarten Montessori teacher when I start College next year at my top school When I took a tour of the school I just knew it was going to be The place for me to follow my goals

As I continue forward, Knowing that the end of the year Is coming sooner than I could have ever imagined As the first semester is near an end And second one is about to begin

Which keeps me going each day As I go to class and do my work And enjoy each day Knowing I will be graduating and Going to college soon Too soon for reality to set in

Though the only thing is That the reality has not yet set in Although I feel as though I just Started the school year last week and now The year is halfway over And I will be graduating soon Too soon to be true As I feel like my kindergarten Graduation was just yesterday

Choosing where to give my love How can I regret love without trying Or is love an all around battle I can’t win. That leaves sadness to linger like having hot sauce Can I push my feelings of sadness or get rid of the burning sensation away and keep battling for love or Explain to myself that it might not be the right time for love?
