WASHINGTON – Arizona election officials agreed Monday to settle a lawsuit that claimed the state’s twotrack voter registration process was unduly burdensome and “irrationally” disenfranchised thousands of voters. Arizona voters can register for federal elections with a federal registration form that does not require proof of citizenship, but state registration – which is needed to vote in state and local elections – requires “documentary proof of citizenship.” by the League of United Latin American Citizens
NEW RIVER – June is the beginning of a long season of severe weather in Arizona, dry conditions, extreme heat, fire threats and flash flooding from torrential rain storms. The Arizona Emergency Information Network (AzEIN) is reaching out to residents about the monsoons so they can prepare, keeping themselves and their pets safe in the event of a disaster. “There are many ways to maintain healthy, happy and safe pets,” stated the AzEIN
