Polly is the co-founder behind The Fold.

A high-flying woman, whose love of fashion was the inspiration to create a chic new brand for working women.

Polly comes from the competitive world of consulting and finance, with a Cambridge PhD in Molecular Biology and an MBA at London Business School.

It’s vital to look and feel the part at work.

More than trends, it’s about putting yourself together in a professional, appropriate way, and most importantly - dressing in a way that makes you feel confident and able to achieve anything that the day throws your way.

How did The Fold start?

My business partner and I both used to work in city jobs and hated our working wardrobes. We wanted to create a brand that inspired professional women so that they could look and feel amazing everyday and hence The Fold was born.

What were the key lessons you learned from that experience?

Being passionate about our product and mission as a brand is the key. We strive to grow the business, the product selection, and always create excellent new designs and features. Having a strong focus on achieving these goals, loving the process and working as a team along the way means that you can find a solution to anything.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Every day we are meeting our customers - and they are truly the inspiration for what we do. Whether they work for the big City bank, have built their own business or work in a creative field, we love to learn from their experiences and insights to shape our product and how we build the brand.

What is your favourite piece from the new SS2013 Collection?

I’ll be wearing something from the Marais Capsule everyday - it is so versatile that I can dress it up for a big meeting, or wear it casually on the weekend with my favourite jeans.
