HEN JUTTA AND MATIAS CAMPIANI RELOcated to Miami three years ago, the serial entrepreneurs were looking to take their business backgrounds into an area they found not only potentially profitable but also personally inspiring. Longtime believers in the power of alternative healing and prevention, the two found a perfect mix of business and pleasure in one idea: massage. Partnering with national franchise Elements, the Campiani’s set up shop in Dadeland Plaza two years ago this month with the aim to deliver a focused approach to relaxation and healing to the surrounding community. “I am a great believer in alternative ways of preventing and curing illnesses,” says Jutta, who runs the day-to-day business at Elements. “Healthy eating, sports, etc.… Massage is a great way to take care of your body, to heal your muscles.” The Campiani’s found the right partners in Elements, a success story that grew from just one Colorado-based studio (owned and operated by a licensed massage therapist) to more than 220 locations nationwide. For Jutta, it was a combination of the singular focus (“It’s not a little bit of this and that; it’s pure therapeutic approach.”) and the deep roots to the basics of massage therapy that drew her to Elements. “For the massage therapists that work for us [drawing on the founder’s knowledge] makes a big difference,” she says, noting the size of the rooms, the hydraulic tables and the therapists’ carefully-curated hours. “Being a massage therapist is a very physical job. It’s tiring and they have to take care of themselves as well.” At Elements, happy therapists equal happy clients. Since opening in March 2014, Jutta says she has been overwhelmed with the positive feedback from clients— many of whom have become weekly or monthly regulars. Part of the appeal of Elements, she says, is that it’s never the same experience twice. “We personalize and customize each massage to the particular needs of our customers,” says Jutta. “Even regular clients come in

with different needs each time – one day they may need deep tissue or trigger point work to release muscle tensions and another day they may need a massage with medium to light pressure for relaxation. It should always be a specific approach to match the needs of the client.” In addition to employing therapists (many of whom have been with the Campiani’s since opening) with varying specializations, Elements also goes a step farther, matching clients with the right therapist—depending on the type of massage and the pressure level they are looking for. “Everybody has a hectic lifestyle. Massage gives you an opportunity to tune the world out for some

time and to ground yourself,” says Jutta. “I think we are really achieving what we always set out to achieve. With the support of our team, we’re delivering a high quality product and high-quality service always with the needs of the client as the focus of our attention.” Elements Massage is located in Dadeland Plaza at 9523 S Dixie Hwy, Pinecrest, FL 33156.
