In 2011 four 18-year-old girls from Helsinki kept provocative video diaries about their lives during the course of a year. Other Girls is a fictional film based on true events.

ESA ILLI is a prominent film director who has been working in the Finnish Film industry since graduating from the Helsinki University of Art and Design in 1994. Illi has written most of the films he has directed and his work ranges from documentaries to TV drama and feature films. Illi also has vast experience teaching film acting, directing and screenwriting. The subjects in his films are often contemporary with humane subject matter.
