This is our second summer out at the Village, and it has been a hot one! Most of our Neighbors have been staying indoors to keep cool, but sometimes you can catch them in the Great Room playing Giant Jenga and doing puzzles!

JUNEVOLUNTEERDAY
During the month of June, we had a Volunteer Day and it was a major success! They were tasked with cleaning out and reorganizing our sea container and clearing the pasture of any trash. We are so grateful for our volunteers! Be on the lookout for our next Volunteer Day!
MIDLANDROCKHOUNDS BASEBALLGAME
Take me out to the ball game! In May, we headed to Momentum Ball Park for a Midland Rockhounds baseball game. The Rockhounds played the Corpus Christi Hooks and won 12-2! The Neighbors really enjoyed themselves and one of our Neighbors even caught a fly ball! Being a part of the community is at the core of The Field’s Edge, and we hope to catch another baseball game soon!

We get a lot of questions about operations out here and we love sharing!
Question: Are the Neighbors responsible for their own food?
Answer: Yes! We have a weekly grocery run! Every Tuesday, we gather everyone up and head to H-E-B or Walmart where Neighbors can buy their own groceries using their wages or SNAP benefits. We also have a community pantry provided by Mission Agape to supplement as needed.

Let freedom ring! We celebrated 4th of July with a good old fashioned cookout and sparklers! We are grateful to live in a country founded upon the freedom to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ We recognize and honor the many men and women who bravely sacrificed for our freedoms!
