Stallion Row preview

Prior to the sale on both days, the stallions on the BHSS Stallion Row will be previewed, Swanhorst notes. “We have 15 Quarter Horse stallions on Stallion Row this year,” she says. Horses are from South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. “I am excited to say we have several new entries this year. I think Stallion Row is a great way to let people know we have some stallion power up here. It is just good promotion for the stallions, and a way to show them to the public. Many people may see a stallion in a catalog or print advertisement, but up close and personal is always better,” she says. “It also gives the stallion owners a way to promote their program and show what they have to offer.” F (Right) Setting a new sale record for the 2011 Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo Horse Sale was LENAS IN THE BUD, a 2008 black stallion consigned by Stanley Tippman and Frank Kenzy (rider) from Iona, SD.
