2018 • 201 9 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Stay at Fay is our mixed-age aftercare program, allowing Fay students to stay on campus after school. Stay at Fay is designed to be a play date every day of the week. Our day is filled with a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, books, music, outdoor activities, and much more! We schedule our day with a routine of active and quiet periods of play, both indoors and outdoors.

2018-2019 STAY AT FAY SAMPLE SCHEDULE PRIMARY I AND PRIMARY II 12:00–12:30pm

Students eat lunch in their classrooms with their morning assistant teachers.

12:30–1:30pm

The Extended Day Counselors take the students outside for free play.

1:30–2:30pm

Students participate in “quiet time” with books on assigned rest mats, and are encouraged to take a nap before enjoying an afternoon snack.

2:30–4:45pm

Counselors lead games, activities, and supervise playtime outside.

4:45–5:45pm

Students are given the choice of visiting the Library to read books, the Tech lab to use the computers and iPads, or the gym for group games and free play.

KINDERGARTEN 2:30–2:45pm

Students are picked up from their classrooms to enjoy an afternoon snack.

2:45–3:00pm

5th grade leaders help teach games and lead activities.

3:00–4:45pm

Counselors lead games, activities, and supervise playtime outside.

4:45–5:45pm

Students are given the choice of visiting the Library to read books, the Tech lab to use the computers and iPads, or the gym for group games and free play.

ELEMENTARY 3:15–3:30pm

Students enjoy an afternoon snack.

3:30–4:45pm

Students are given the opportunity to work on homework, play outside, and participate in counselor led activities.

4:45–5:45pm

Students are given the choice of visiting the Library to read books, the Tech lab to use the computers and iPads, or the gym for group games and free play.

Please see below for a range of costs for Stay at Fay for the 2018-2019 school year. Registration for fall semester (August– December) begins in July and registration for the spring semester (January–May) begins in November. Our Stay at Fay program does not operate during school holidays.

GENERAL REMINDERS

Pricing for the program varies and is designed to allow siblings to be picked up from school at the same time, even when they are dismissed from school or activities at different times. Parents must choose which day(s) of the week their child will attend Stay at Fay before the semester begins. You can register for as many as five days a week or as few as one day a week. We also offer childcare for parents who need care on an occasional basis, through our drop-in component of Stay at Fay. Parents must register at least twenty-four hours in advance to use the drop-in component of the program and drop-in care is billed on a monthly basis.

Primary I & Primary II SAF:

These prices are for one semester. There are two semesters during the school year (fall and spring).

These prices are for one day each week throughout the semester (for example, every Monday from school beginning in August to dismissal for the winter holiday break in December).

If a parent is in need of childcare for five days each week, these prices would be multiplied by 5 and that total would be their semester cost. For example, childcare Monday–Friday (5 days a week) for one child from 12:00–3:15 pm would cost $2,690 ($538 multiplied by 5 days) for the semester, and $5,380 for the full school year ($2,690 multiplied by 2 semesters).

Stay at Fay registration is held online through the Extended Day Registration Module which can be accessed through our Online Parent Portal.

• PI & PII Stay at Fay (SAF) begins Thursday, August 16th.

• PI & PII students enrolled in SAF will need to bring a sack lunch. (Please no lunch items that need a refrigerator or microwave.) Students will eat lunch with friends from 12:00–12:30pm.

Kindergarten SAF: • Kindergarten Stay at Fay (SAF) begins Wednesday, August 15th.

• Kindergarten students staying for SAF will be given a snack every day between 2:30–2:45pm. Please provide your own snack if your child has allergies.

Elementary SAF: • Elementary Stay at Fay (SAF) begins Wednesday, August 15th.

• Elementary students staying for SAF will be given a snack every day between 3:15–3:30pm Please provide your own snack if your child has allergies.

Carpool Pick-Up PRIMARY I AND PRIMARY II

Stay at Fay at their registered pickup time. The late pickup fee is $1.00 per minute per child.

If you wish to change your schedule: • Please contact the Extended Day office in order to drop any Stay at Fay times for which you have already submitted a registration.

• One or more Stay at Fay registrations can be dropped for a full refund less a single $50 fee (each time one or more registrations are dropped) through September 14th, 2018.

• After these dates, all registration fees for Stay at Fay are nonrefundable and non-transferable.
