Etsy New Brunswick Holiday Lookbook

Page 1

The Etsy Market is a series of virtual shopping events that pop up across different cities around the world. Some events are run by groups of Etsy sellers, directly sharing their creativity with their community. Others are run by us, with the goal of celebrating incredible makers. Either way, you’re sure to have an incredible, inspiring time!

#standwithsmall When you buy from a handmade maker, you are buying so much more than just an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks and months of frustrations and moments of pure joy. You aren’t just buying a thing, you’re buying a piece of a heart, a part of a soul and a moment in someone's life.

Fawn Maple Shop

Alexandria Walton

We are a husband + wife duo, and our shop is run in New Brunswick, Canada. We are a licensed CNC machine woodworking shop. FAWN MAPLE- our daughters middle name, and our sons birth tree. In 2018, we bought our first home with 8 acres of wooded property. That’s where our “home goods” addiction started. In 2020, our passion for wood and it’s unique characteristics began when we cut and harvested a beautiful birch tree off our property. We loved the grains, the knots and how beautiful something so natural can be. Since then, we carefully select our wood for our projects. Maple is our favorite wood to work with.

So in an effort to make room for new knits and help support my family, I started this Etsy shop. Thank you for visiting and learning a little about me

Cortney spends most of her time in her small art studio in rural NB and is often covered in clay, paint and glue. Originally from Maine, she now resides in Canada with her husband, three children and two silly black labs. After earning her BFA from the University of Maine, she spent several years searching for the right medium and settled on polymer clay. Her inspirations are found in nature and her beautiful northern surroundings. She loves to sculpt whimsical versions of tiny insects, acorns, leaves and faeries. All of her creations are original designs and are made without moulds. She uses white polymer clay, sculpts and cure it. She then paints her pieces with acrylic paint, seals and antiques them.

Addie Bee’s Christina Benson Addie Bee’s was created in memory of my daughter Adelaide who was born still March of 2019. After losing Adelaide and suffering with health complications due to my traumatic pregnancy, I was no longer able to return to the same work environment. Crafting ( something that I’ve always been passionate about) then turned into something where I could honour my daughter’s memory & bring glory to God. Being able to say her name through my work and share my passion for creating with others is a blessing I never imagined I would experience after losing her. One thing I’ve learned after losing my daughter is that God takes what was meant to destroy us and makes something beautiful of it. Through the pain & the joy. In the good times and the not so good times. God is good ALL the time. & I hope my little shop encourages you.

I am a busy Mom to two beautiful children and also work fulltime as a designer and pattern drafter. However my etsy shop is my passion and what I love to do. I have toyed with using my own name for my shop, but in all honestly it has changed back in forth over the years but the one thing that remains constant is that I will always be Ruby's Daughter. I take pride in everything I create. My end goal in everything is having a satisfied customer who has something that they want to wear over and over again.

Alexandra T Jewelry Alexandra Torcat I began designing and creating jewelry over eighteen years ago. I was a student of architecture, but was inspired to take a few courses at NSCAD (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design), and while there fell in love with jewelry designing. My mother is also an artist and jewelry designer, so before university I often worked part time in her shop, learning techniques from her and trying out my own ideas. I’m now a busy “stay at home” mother of three, but with two in school have reached the moment I’ve been anticipating for years…..starting my very own brand. My jewelry is classic, delicate and chic. I work primarily with pearls, semi-precious stones and crystals, 14K gold filled and sterling silver. Do remember that I’m happy to customize any of my designs especially for you. I will do my very best to fulfill your every wish.

A White Nest Shop Emily Christensen A White Nest was created by two best friends…a mother and daughter! Being from a family passionate makers we are always ready to dive into a new project and that is just how our business came to start! In 2014 a new “old” loom came into our lives and quickly became the new project to teach ourselves! We loved the idea of making handwoven tea towels and blankets made in the traditional way, just as our great great grandmother did many years before. Ours would be still traditionally made, one string at a time, but with a fresh more modern and minimal feel. By 2015 with some stock built up we decided to open up a little shop at our home along the beautiful Tobique River in Tobique Narrows! Emily was the weaver and Karen was also creating pottery but they knew they wanted more hand made items for the shop….candles, soaps and even some of granddads woodwork! Attending markets, taking risks and making solid connections has been an important part of our little business and has lead us to the path were on today. We have now redirected our focus to online sales and we are so fortunate to have many locations that carry our products!

The Soap Box Soap Shoppe Tammy Turner At The Soapbox Soap Shoppe, we are very hands-on in our practices. Tammy, the shop owner, loves working with her hands, above all else. She would rather be creating soap and bath bombs than most other entrepreneurial tasks, however, excellent customer service is top priority. All of our products are made in small batches. We don’t believe that the secret to success is to make a little of many products, we want to focus our efforts on a few key products and do them right. We believe that is why our customers buy our soap and bath bombs again and again. In fact, Tammy has often been told that The Soapbox soap is the best they’ve ever tried.

East Coast Sea Gems Shop

Salisha Tatton

Born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, I spent many summers roaming the natural beauty of our coastal regions, finding many sea treasures along the way. I've always felt most at peace around water. In 2014, I started on a healing journey to learn to live with some severe chronic Illnesses, This Journey took me to new places and new beaches along the East Coast of North America. The beauty I discovered was incredible. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, scent of the ocean air, the feel of the different beaches under my feet started to reignite the feeling I had when I was younger, of wonder and yearning for more. While searching for that perfect piece of sea glass, stone, or shell, I found myself wanting to create something out of these discarded ocean treasures.

Lil Miss Sew it All Shop

Brandi Thornton

I started this business 7 years ago, making burp cloths and blankets for family and friends. After I had my daughter, I wanted her to have items that were practical, stylish, and could last as the child grows. I then began testing new designs and fabrics to see what was going to be practical for a new mom. I sought out materials that were going to be gentle on a baby's skin, but also hold up to the wear and tear associated with young children.

Hazel Bea Shop

Kate Hunter

Hey there, I am Kate, the maker, and mama behind the hook at Hazel Bea, where I design and create cozy knits! I am an East Coast Canadian and being from a place in the world with often very cold winters inspires so many of my designs, the goal for me has always been to make things that are fun and functional, and really well made so that they can be worn year after year! I taught myself to crochet during my first pregnancy as a way to fill my need to "make" and cope with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. When my youngest daughter was born prematurely I once again found myself using crochet as a way to cope in the NICU

Saltwater Joys Art Kelley Joyce-Floyd

Canadian artist concentrating on acrylics at this time, my muse is a melding of nature, science and wild imagination. I live on the east coast of Canada, close to the beautiful Bay of Fundy. I can't imagine living anywhere where I didn't have ocean access. I love the outdoors and enjoy walks in the woods, beach-combing, kayaking, and art. I take inspiration largely from nature and add generous dollops of whimsy just for fun.
