Etsy Dallas, the original Dallas team and the first city team in Texas, is a cooperative, all-volunteer group of artists, crafters and designers living and working in Dallas. Our mission is to promote the handmade movement in the DFW area and beyond by showcasing our city's handmade artisans.

"I have a home office in Dallas where I paint my floral designs, as well as custom watercolors."

How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop?

"I wanted a name that would allow for some flexibility in product, in case an opportunity arose to branch out in some direction, so uniting my name with my Etsy shop was the easiest way to do that. ByCarolineAnn was a suggestion from a friend, and it just stuck!"

"My favorite holiday tradition is really just setting time apart to spend time with my loved ones. My family is super important to me but because my business takes up a lot of time, I am not always able to spend a lot of time with my family. I love coming together for the holidays to create new memories and enjoy our time together."

Shop How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop?

"My Etsy Shop is named after my dad's cattle brand, which was named after my grandfather's cattle brand. I don't raise cattle, and my dad stopped raising cattle a long time ago, but I keep the tradition of the name because the creativity and love of rock collecting passed down from my grandfather to my dad and then to me!"

Shop How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop?

"I began by making earrings exclusively, but later branched out into all kinds of jewelry. By then my shop name was too well-established to change, so it has stayed Earrings by Eryn."

Favorite holiday tradition?

"Most years for Thanksgiving, my family works together to make something unusual or something from scratch.

One year, we collected pecans from neighborhood trees and shelled them by hand for a pecan pie... it took forever, but it was the best pie ever."

What gift do you want this year?

"The top item on my work wish list is a rolling mill to press silver, although it would be quite a challenge to make space for one in my tiny studio. Still, one can wish!"

Shop Why did you start your Etsy shop?

"My Etsy shop was created after someone suggested I sell my bracelets on the platform. After researching the company and what it did for small business owners like myself, I decided to open up shop in January 2012. I started my shop to grow my business and become a full time entrepreneur selling my bracelets."

How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop?

"The name, expressions bracelets, was inspired by my niece, Storm. Storm was diagnosed to moderate to severe Autism in 2009 and as a family we had to learn how she expressed herself and what each movement, sound, etc meant. It motivated me to inspire others to accept the differences in how each individual expressing themselves, not just verbally, but also with their choice of fashion. It lead me to create jewelry that tells a story, captures a memory, speaks a mantra, and/or empowers the wearer with their choice of phrase."

Why did you start your Etsy shop?

“I love to design and make silly jokes or bad puns. One day I realized greeting cards were the perfect way to share that!”

How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop?

“In the late 90s, my bestie, Christine, and I were craft shopping. She’d changed her mind about buying yet another photo box, and tried to discreetly drop it rather than returning it to where it belonged. I instinctively shouted, "that is not the crafter way!" It became our funny motto, and I knew it had to be my brand.”

"Victrola Design was decided upon for my business at the beginning of my creative journey. An old boyfriend wrote a story about me and compared me to an old Victrola player so i just went with that. Plus my name's Victoria so it ďŹ t!"

"While walking our dog, we noticed a row of white houses

and thought those "lofts" were so sweet. Years later, I still think about them -- which inspired the shop."

"Sometimes, starting an Etsy business is born out of

people needing a break. As funny as that may sound, it’s precisely what happened with me. As a new mom, I needed a break from a demanding job and decided to use creativity to build an Etsy business."
