CYNTHIA REASON creason@insidetoronto.com When Lisa Brodie’s beloved great-grandmother passed away at age 100 this past January, she left behind a century-long legacy of community and volunteer work. It is with that legacy in mind
that today Brodie herself is set to embark on a two-month trip to work in the orphanages of Cambodia – a life-changing journey she hopes will pay tribute to the woman who taught her so much about the importance of giving back. “I learned a lot from her. Not only how strong and resilient women can be, but also how amazingly they can touch people and change the world,” Brodie, a 28-year-old south Etobicoke resident, said >>>BRODIE, page 12
