Location: Jayanagar, Karnataka

Redevelopment of abandoned complexes in jayanagar to create more efficient market and also being considerative towards the street hawkers.

INTERVENTION SITE

Highly dense commercial area with roads on two side. Shop frontage enchroched by shop owners. Parking and footpath enchroached by informal vendors

ELEVATION

A new shopping complex with wider corridors and open spaces. Designed to avoid enchroachment of shop frontages. Bringing in mixed use spaces while allocating space for informal vendors on site.

Creating signages for the proposed bicycle trail

WIDOW ASHRAM

Women tend to take routes with well lighiting and navigations. One of the issue infered from analysis was signages in Varanasi. The designed signages are for a proposed bicycle trail.

A dining space can act as a gathering space too. The people come together to enjoy their food in a community and thus increasing interaction between the resident widows
